What gays and lesbians are fighting for is not the right to love or to “unrestrained free love and sex”. It’s the right to a loving, committed and restrained relationship regulated by law called marriage so they can fully partake in the responsibilities and privileges of a “strong and stable society”.

How does allowing gays and lesbians to marry affect society’s struggle to create and nurture strong families? Gays and lesbians will not be “cured” from their homosexuality and marry someone of the opposite sex because some law forbids them to marry the person they love. Heterosexuals will not stop marrying, stay married or raise strong, independent children because homosexuals are allowed to marry. Proof: in many countries, same sex marriage has been legal for a decade or more but the marriage or divorce rates of heterosexuals have not been affected; children born into gay and lesbian families have not grown up to be more unstable, less successful or “more gay” than those of heterosexual ones; their societies have not become weak or crumbled! This is simply a case of feeding people’s fears of change by using what matters most to them, family and children – just the way white people tried to justify discriminating against interracial couples by invoking religion, science and the notion of a strong and stable family/society.
Nothing will change when gay and lesbian couples finally get to stand on equal footing with their heterosexual counterparts and have their union and love recognized by their country’s law. Nothing, except that they will be proud to assert their identity and their commitment to one another in front of their children, their families and their society. If anything, providing ALL citizens the same rights under the law would make a nation stronger!

The Zionist media has done a great job at dismantling, mocking, and sabotaging everything about the once great and strong American family. The democrats and liberal that you give your blind loyalty to have turned the game around on you and t he liberal slime slid in under the door, with the help of people like Margaret Sanger bragging about exterminating the “black weeds” in America, and how simple it would be with the help of token black community leaders. If my memory serves me correct I believe the head of “family planning” now is a black woman. Watching “whale wars” the other night on animal planet and the crew of gilligan’s island was weeping about a picture of a mother pilot whale that had its fetus ripped out of her womb, while the same scenario with a human being all of a sudden is such a great thing, because humans are scum and leave a huge carbon print, and they teach us all there is too many of us, while in developed countries the amount of people getting married, and having children is rapidly declining; at the rate we are going, the U.S. and Europe are not reproducing fast enough to maintain a minimal population. So our govt on the other hand will continue to kick the black man out of his house, rip the fetus out of the black woman’s womb, and give her chicken feed (just enough) to keep her head above water and still dependent. This was done on purpose, you think they want and educated black community that is aware of what’s going on beside the cool prison culture that they like to emulate? No, of course not, like Sanger said get rid of the weeds, approximately 50 million black babies (basically, a generation of black children forever lost) and then they will replenish the population, of naturalized and legalize groups of people that should have never been here in the first place, but they are easier to manage because they don’t care about the constitution, they just want dollars to send home. They like to say stuff like this comes from crazy people, nut jobs with tin foil hats, but will start to watch you, and assess you and keep tabs on you even though your rants are made up. Tell you what though….id love to see a million man march at the next Bilderberg hide out meeting, crash a CFR meeting, or UN council meeting. Any ways im tired and have to retire to the bat cave, no days off between full time work, and full time school.

Mr Thornton writes “Children need more than just love. They need stability, protection, guidance, correction, prayer and so much more…” What would prevent same gender parents from providing stability, protection, guidance, correction and prayer. Times change my brother, at one time mixed race unions was against the law in many states and same race parents were considered the only union that could provide for a stable upbringing of a child.

Thank you for this sincere thoughtful piece. In the calm, reasoned spirit in which you presented it, may I ask a question? You eloquently state how the cycle of single parenthood gets repeated, and you speak volumes of the need to have two parents in the household. But you didn’t say why it would be detrimental to have two parental figures of the same gender. Yes, I know a parental figure is not a real parent. But neither are the “parents” who have adopted a child or “parents” who use sperm donors. Why would they be valid parents and two parents of the same gender not?
