Awesome! I love how your story! I just happened upon this career myself. I had just gotten laid off from my job in the business field and saw a "help wanted" ad in the library window during my weekly visit. From day one, I knew this was my calling and since I received my MLIS from the University of Oklahoma in 2006, my life has taken a great turn. I am now a Cataloger at a community college in MS and I absolutely love what I do. I not only catalog the library's materials, but I help students with research, teach classes and plan programs. No one understands (but other librarians) how fulfilling and wonderful our jobs are to us...they think all we do is sit around and read books! I'm so glad you shared your story! Best of luck to you and congratulations on the Josey scholarship!
