Who in this room has ever beaten and brutalized any gay person that you know? Your comments are totally off base as you’ve totally attacked a ‘straw man’ with your comments. Stick with the topic at hand if you can. Save the ‘heterophobic’ remarks for some other post.

What’s truly funny is how gay whites claim an affinity with the black civil rights struggle, yet GLAAD and other similar gay groups were quiet as a church mouse every time blacks have been disenfranchised during 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. They were silent when white democrats showed their true racist colors when Barack Obama ran in 2008.

Most appalling is the willful stupidity that defends Mr. Martin as a victim and ignores the danger in Mr. Martin’s remarks when IT IS MR. MARTIN HIMSELF who not three weeks ago was calling out Newt Gingrich for using racist coded language. “Janitor” means black man, and “food stamp nation” means blacks on welfare, when Newt uses those words, according to Mr. Martin. But “smack the ish” out of any man “hyped” by a male underwear ad was totally misconstrued.

Mr. Martin is lying. Much of his career and the positions he holds are rooted in the knowledge that the bigoted majority is adept at manipulating language for nefarious, or at least callously harmful, purposes.

One can only assume that Mr. Jackson is a homophobe and a proud member of what is now clearly a bigoted racial minority, and would be perfectly happy if homosexuals, regardless of race, continue to live in fear of the physical violence that is visited upon them daily because of no better reason than that the “look gay” or whatever other excuse is needed for hate.

In another day, Mr. Jackson would have worn a white sheet and carried a torch.
