Newt is a testimate to how badly the system is broken. If you know all of the tricks. If you know the right people. If you know where the bodies are buried and what skeletons are in closets you can get endorsements. You can promise pet projects to each state. Promise you will cut, but not their programs, you will fund those. If you can throw red meat to the crowd. If you can attack the media that your constituents think is being biased towards Pres Obama, … you too can win a primary.

The fact that Newt with all of his baggage can work the system this well is a testimate to how broken the system is. The only solution is for everyone to research the issues and the candidates themselves. You can’t trust MSM, endorsements from well known people, or rely on political adds.

The Republican family value Evangelican Christians, at least in South Carolina, have spoken. By supporting Newt Gingrich they have spoken in support of hypocrisy, serial adultry, race baiting, and lying. A vote for Newt is a vote for?

Mobetter There is a distinction between a POTUS getting oral in the oval office and basic infidelity. At least in my mind it is.

There is a moral equivalence to their respective infidelities, yes, but there is a a leadership non-equivalence. To suggest otherwise demeans the office of the presidency which is expected to be revered across the land.

I am an independent and find both parties a joke. And this is one of the reasons why. Each side complains about the “hypocrisy” of the other side, but both are functionally the same party doing the sames things 90% of the time while we debate around the 10%.

They are corporately funded, debt inflating, wealth inequality creating, non-listen, black incarceration tolerating, hegemonic systems.

DG, there is no distinction between either Clinton or Gingrich when it comes to infidelity. One is not lesser or greater than the other regardless of where it takes place. What strikes me strange is you trying to justify and distinquish one from the other?

Hypocrisy and politics go hand and hand. Here is one major distinction however. Bill Clinton had oral sex, in the oval office, with an intern. That doesn’t strike you as a bit different?

Secondly, I will use the same argument that was used by liberals against the Clinton impeachment. “It doesn’t matter what he does personally, as long as he governs well”.

I am not sure how anyone who didn’t condemn to death Bill Clinton, can now talk trash about Gingrich on anything other than his policies. That is hypocrisy as well.
