Nikesha Leeper,
Your cause is joined. Your analysis is subtle and searing. Be heard! At stake in 2012 is not "pie in the sky!" It's a sensible way forward or an insane repetition of the past with expectation of different results. We have been where some in the GOP promises to take us. I've seen what the Tea Party has in mind. I'd like to see in 2012 a Pelosi led House and a DEM control Senate with a new and different set of rules on cloture and a re-elected president with a mandate. Then support needs to to follow in the 2014 mid-term election when too many of us stay home! No one seems to have patience for a sensible way forward when we seems to have all the forbearance in the world for what impatience brings: more of the same. More of the same gives us the illusion of control. The Tea Party, other conservatives, and the GOP can depend on a mid-term elections and voter suppression efforts to return them to power two years after a general election unless we figure things out and respond differently than expected. We, the people, have to do that not the POTUS.
