Eric, I do not have a personal website. I make general comments about articles/posts on the internet since I am not soliciting anyone's business.

Have a Prosperous New Year!

Great Article, I too am a Financial Advisor. I waived goodbye to the rat race 16 years ago to assist low to moderate income families with their financial matters since I have an extensive background in Bank Supervision in both the government and corporate sector. Therefore, it was natural to start a tax practice which gave me the opportunity to perform a complete analysis of my client's financial condition and make suitable recommendations based on their specific situation.

I quickly learned that many of these clients did not have a banking relationship because of reasons ranging from they did not trust financial institutions to they had lost their banking privileges due to check kiting. After assisting clients with establishing and/or re-establishing their banking relationship, they started asking me to assist with all aspects of their life from getting out of debt, purchasing a home, helping their children get into college to investment choices in their 401(k).

Thus, I now have a Real Estate Brokerage and a Registered Investment Advisory Firm focusing on low to moderate income families. These clients are so estatic about having someone available to help them attain financial security and are always referring family and friends for a personal financial plan.

This demographic is severly underserved because many Financial Advisors focus on high net worth individuals.
