Should Congress pass the American Jobs Act? Sure they should. However, the American Jobs Act is not going to end this recession and put Black people back to work. I think that is how it is portrayed when it is presented to Blacks as if it is the answer to the depression era Black unemployment rate of 16%. We sometimes don’t crunch the numbers and that is our own fault. Will this President offer more?! Right now, all indications are he will not. Some economist say the American Jobs Act will lower unemployment by 2% points.( They could be right or wrong or off a .50% point or better) Well if we are at 16% and it takes 2 points off general unemployment rate which is at 9.1%, that puts us at maybe 13.5% or there abouts, that is if the general unemployment rate does not go any higher. No, it’s nothing wrong with pressing Congress to pass the American Jobs Act, but even you sister can see this President has a long way to go.

Obama didn’t make job creation a priority when democrats controlled Congress and the White House for two years. Obama CHOSE to bail out Wallstreet NOT Mainstreet and now Harry Reid, Democratic Senate Majority Leader, is not entertaining Obama’s shenanigans!
