I realize that when texting with the % sign, does not give you the amount referenced, I should have said 40 to 50% saving translated into $1500. The cost of the Casket would have been $3000. at the funeral home.

Many people and family members that I have talked with had one big financial regret after putting away a loved one. They spoke about not looking into a better option for buying the Casket than going with the choices form the Funeral Homes they chose. When we buried our family member, we were able to find the same Casket the funeral home offered. The price difference was 40 to 50% less than what we would have paid the funeral home. With those savings we were able to help other out of state family members attend the service. We were also surprised and pleased to learn that the Casket supplier was black owned, our pleasure was that we as black people always talk about spending or buying black.

This article brings up a subject that a family somewhere will face today and everyday hear after. The $6,560 for a funeral and the $1,110 for a cremation is a valid statistic for the source given. The question to ask is what services (wanted and needed) are included in that $6,560 price. The cost of the casket and grave site along with any fees due the cemetary should also be considered. I know that preparing for death can be very uncomfortable. However, when it comes to buying a simple life insurance policy, I wish more people that I have met realized that its monthly cost can be as inexpensive or even less than a weekly trip to the salon.
