LOVE IT! I love it when black men actually care for their children. There are so many fathers who abdicate their responsibility to their own flesh and blood. He is an example of what a REAL MAN is.

I wish my ex would do more than just pay child support. His kids need their father in their lives.

This is the best thing I’ve read in a LONG time. It shows that men can actually support their children and not have to deal with supporting an ex-wife.

And from what I just read, it seems like he is not leaving anyone out in the cold except his ex-wife. He seems like he is taking care of his children.

Ho hum. Another selfish person who sees $$$$$ as the most important issue rather than his own children. Oh and burnout after 2 years? Try working your whole life and bringing up children alone. That is what I have done. Come whinge to me when you’ve worked your whole life bringing up children by yourself.

This is yet another black man’s attempt to get out of fair share for his children.

Kids don’t give a crap about how loving you are when they are hungry and/or freezing in the middle of winter. Way to keep up the status quo of unemployed black men that continue to add to the poverty and welfare state of black America.

If a woman is gainfully employed and is able to be gainfully employed. The husband too is gainfully employed, why would said woman be needing of chld support of the child/children are co-parented and equally being taken care of financially and otherwise? It CAN work for anyone! I don’t think the writer was saying to walk away from one’s responsibilities! The problem is with the men who feel once they leave a marriage their parental responsibilies end there as well. Can you say HELLO deadbeat!!

Again, the writer is not agreeing with being a deadbeat. To reiterate, if a woman is able to work and the children stay part-time at either household, why is the father having to pay child support???

It is time to do both, support your children financially and emotionally, and be in their lives!

Some men have a great resentment of their x wives and paying anything to support their children.

There is so much more than keeping a roof over their heads and giving them food.

This situation may be working for the writer of this article, however it will not work for the majority of families/children out here who needs financial support. Just because you leave a marriage is no reason to walk away from your children simply because you may feel the mother is “taking” the money.
