But whatever the case is. I do hope Mr Jobs can bear this cross he's bearing with his illness. Cancer is a wretched thing , as is the organ damage that can persist long after the disease is gone. I've seen great men and women reduced to total undignified dependency from cancer and I wouldn't wish it on my most terriible adversary. Pray for the guy.

I have a lot of respect for Mr Jobs. After problems with my relationship with Apple looked to sink my home business, I sent off an impassioned email to the man (with no expectation of him ever reading it), and not only did he read it he replied personally and asked senior management to reconsider my case. He saved my business, personally.

But he's not Martin luther king. Apple built its kingdom on profits. MLK built his kingdom on love. Apple did great things for people, for profit. MLK did great things for people based on personal conviction and love.

But more important whilst Apple liberated dollars from peoples pockets, and "liberated" the material wealth of africas rare-earth mines for iphones, MLK liberated a people.

As a businessman I respect Apple for its brilliance, but as a human I respect MLK as a beautiful member of the human race, and a wise teacher.

MLK taught white folks like me that yes we're going to eventually have to give up our white privelege (not there yet folks!) but it'll be OK, because we're going to get a whole new family of brothers and freinds out of it. And he taught black folks that its OK to believe in your brothers and sisters and yourself so folks can just stand up to be counted.
