The reason it works for parolees and drug addicts is because those people have finally realized that there is nothing they can do without God and that nothing they have (materially) validates their lives and that their problems are because of no one else but themselves.

Those are the three core issues of the Black community and they have poisoned the church with it.
1) I dont need anybody else…but my government handout
2) I am somebody because I have lots of material things (jordans/louis V/etc)
3) Its someone else’s fault that I cant move ahead. Why I cant finish free K-12 public school or attend almost free community college or not get pregnant or not sell drugs or not do drugs or not break the law because the man is holding me down (white man)

Christ is the cure, but Christ cant help a apathetic, hard hearted people who love materialism and excuses more than they love themselves.
(ie. Story of the Jews in the old Testament)

P.S. White people didnt give you Christ. You learned about him as people was purposely misusing his message to achieve their own selfish desires…yeah they will be dealt with. And so will those, having access to accurate knowledge, but choose to accept the deception as an excuse not to be believe.

I wear belts, even though I might have been abused by them growing up, because I know it wasnt the belt doing the abusing but the person misusing it to hurt me.
