I think that one major difference between Ord and North Omaha is the entitlement mentality. People in Ord are much more likely to jump in and get a job done, while in North Omaha, people expect the government to take care of them. Until the black community breaks that mindset, no amount of “strategy of aggressive entrepreneurship development, coupled with reinvestment into the down town area” will do any good.

Dell, thank you for offering this article for us all to see. I see that 14 people like this article and I hope all 14 people share this with their friends. This subject is not one that the majority is eager to confront, so it is my guess you won’t get your due of comments. Somebody has to do the heavy lifting for the sake of encouraging our people to ingauge in relevent dialog. Today it looks like Lil Wayne is consumming the bulk of the attention, with “Should we consider Voting Republican a distant second”.
