I agree with Courtney, President Obama is not President of Black America. He’s President of the United States. Furthermore, the majority of the problems in the black community are “self inflicted.”

You have;

1. Kids raising Kids
2. Men refusing to graduate from high school, in turn leading to life of pepertual poverty.
3. The Dumbing down of music
4. Fatherless homes
5. Drugs being sold on every corner in the inner city
6. Churches that focus on emotion instead of establishing Truth and Knowledge
7. Girls who keep having babies just for a paycheck

Shall I continue. As a people we have to realize that we can’t change the past, but, we can change the future.

Stop blaming and start taking on the responsibility as a citzen of one of the greatest countries in the World.

You should be ashamed of yourself for even writing this article. It’s not Obama’s fault that unemployment is low in black communities. The blame falls on some black people, who choose to run the streets instead of going to school/ applying for jobs like everyone else. This is why the black community is so BACKWARD. Everything is always someone else’s fault. NOT yours. The first step to solving a problem is admitting that you do have a problem. Barack Obama wasn’t elected to be Black People’s President. He was elected to be the President of United States of America. Why don’t you write an article that’ll shed let to the fact that African Americans have betrayed themselves. Stop blaming Obama for the problems blacks are facing today. It’s not his fault. It’s called laziness.

I didn’t vote for Obama. I’m an Independent voter. I still knew though, that all you said here was true before it happened.

Obama was raised by whites in a middle class household. He is not a descendant of slaves. He is not Black as Black goes. Half of him is white and this tells why he behaves as he does.

Blacks were dreaming alright if they thought he was for them. He is for himself and for his career.

He is not the president of the Blacks but the president. Period.
Blacks have opportunities never before afforded them in this country.

Why is there even a problem?

Pat Buchanan said that being kidnapped and made slaves was the best thing that ever happened to the Blacks. How is this not true?
American blacks are blessed to be here in America, even as anyone no matter what race they belong to, are blessed to live here regardless of how they got here.

Stop this stupid racism talk and be an American without all the color talk.
