Mr Legend has so eloquently put into words my feelings exactly, As an educator who worked tirelessly in the local campaign to elect this bright young man, worked the polls, handed out leaflets, etc., and has such hopes for “change” only to become somewhat disappointed at the lack of attention to one segment of our society – the Black Americans. Of course we all know and want a President for ALL Americans, but there is a sense that the President is so bent on showing that he shows no favoritism to the segment that is faced with an umemployment rate unlike recent years. Where is the bailout for Black Americans. The automobile industry, wall street (who just months after the bailout were in on spa vacations, had bonuses in the millions, etc.
The President has met with Hispanic representatives to discuss common concerns THREE times, how many meetings with Black representatives. Where are all the campaign promises? Where is the change? Where is the effort. Let the President and his entourage stay in this country for awhile and work on matters that concern the American people.

I agree in part the things said in this article. Bu less not forget that the day he became President, the Republicans started out of the block saying they want him to fail. The Republicans will not even negotiate with him. They are doing all they can to make him a one term president. And you can see today as we teeter on the brink of not raising the Debt Limit, I truly believe they would tank the economy. He has been successful with many issues even when he is not getting the respect that other Presidents achieve. Also we must look at the World in that the President has developed friendships with many world leaders. If he does not win, who will replace him to develop those relations. The new President will have to start all over and win the trust of world leaders which could take two or more years.
