Excellent article by Gregory Taylor. Many of us who worked so enthusiastically with great effort to get President Obama elected are getting quite concerned. We do understand the “rhetoric” that goes along with the campaign, but there should be some similarities between promises (yes, we can) and deliveries. We also understand there is a congress, representatives, etc., involved, but can’t we expect SOME of the changes we hoped for? Has the focus from the White House been on everything but what has impacted, unequitable I might add, a segment of this society? When unemployment that has tripled for a segment of our society, for instance. Is it not time for ALL Americans to be concerned? I’m still trying to hang on to hope…….

Obama has the Republicans in a corner and they can not get out. They do not want to be responsible for anything. These are really not negotiations, only Obama is negotiating. In negotiating It takes two to Tango. This is why we are in a stalemate. With the threat of lowering our Bond Rating, the Republicans really do not care. Even when CEOs sent letters to the Republicans telling them to stop this foolishness, they have not responded. Racism is raising its ugly head. The Republicans will do anything to make Obama a one term President, even tank the economy. The next two weeks will tell the story. It looks like it is almost too late, because there is threat of lowing the bond rating before they finish their negotiations.

I was taught when you don”t have all the facts, it’s better to keep your mouth closed. I don’t believe you are helping President Obama with this article. Maybe he’s where he is because he’s had to rise above fair weather folks. I don’t want a President with a poker face. I do feel compansion for him, when facing the challenges of his presidency, and manage the fair weather people who claim to support him. But when the going gets rough Mr. Taylor I guess it easy to Monday morning quarterback. I’m going to pray for the fair weather of this presidency.

Since I don’t play a lot of games, because I am over 50+. I agree with you that some things said at the beginning have changed, but then I am a Vietnam Veteran and we were taught to follow orders. Who said the President doesn’t follow orders, I think every American President the day of the swearing in, went and checked their seat belt. Just because he is who he is and some folks would prefer to roll back the clock,Please. Now groups are coming out called the “Gang of Six”, man that stuff in DC is scary….Pray for the Brother, I need to see a good winning Poker face…guess I will check online……
