There are many anti Obama people who purposely and continuously try to frame this debate as the result of anger by obama supporters over president obama being criticized. That's a disingenuous argument. No one is saying that President Obama is above criticism. uch of the anger in the Black community is being fueled by our resentment of self-serving demagogues trying to use Black misery to further their own selfish agenda.

Tavis Smiley's criticism is in response to a wounded ego over Obama refusing to drop everything to come on Tavis's show and kiss his ring prior to Obama declaring his candidacy for president. Cornel West's criticism is based both on his being Tavis' lapdog, and also his arrogant assumption that he's above the average working class American - Black or White - and therefore, should have been given priority for inaugural tickets over the guy who "carried my bags into the hotel." And now, Raynard Jackson - the Black Republican - is doing it in order to create dissention among Obama's base to the benefit of the GOP enemies of the American poor and middle class.

The primary reason that Black people are suffering is that the very people who Raynard Jackson represent are purposely undermining the American economy and sending jobs overseas in order to sabotage Obama's presidency. As we speak they're trying to destroy Social Security, Medicare, resend healthcare reform, destroy the entire economy by refusing to raise the debt ceiling, and everything else they can think of to keep the American people angry, divided, and miserable.

Team Jackson! Tom's power over his black audience is getting to his head. Tom was arrogant to not support black women overJawn Murray's comments and he also dismissed Mary Harvey's comments regarding her divorce from Steve. Now, his arrogance is leading him to believe that he can talk negatively about Tavis and Cornell and his audience will blindly follow. Well, not this time Tom.

Team Jackson all the way!!!!!!!!!!

I attempted to listen to the Tom Joyner Morning Show but there was a segment called "DEE White Man" which was a total turn-off. I later heard that he doesn't even own the show and Obama raised a billion dollars during the 2008 election cycle and did not even throw these kool-aid drinkers a bone!

I agree whole heatedly with Dr. West's views on President Obama AND the Republican party AND Corporate America. I've never heard of Raynard Jackson yet, you seem to have the low down on everyone from Sharpton to West. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE for the African-American community? We have to put the president's feet to the fire HOWEVER, voting for a Republican or someone in the Tea Party IS NOT the answer. For whatever reason, Obama seems to be playing the role of Overseer but let us not get ahead of ourselves and start siding with Massa!

Wow...all I can say is it's apparent that there is whole lot of growing up yet to be done. Tom has every right to his opinion...and so do both Tavis and Cornell West. It's not only repulsive, but downright childish the way some black people act. If you don't agree with the "group" some people get all bent out of shape. If you didn't vote for Obama or disagree with his agenda...watch out, it's all out war. I thought Dr. King fought for equality. Well guess what? We too (black people) have the right to think the way we want. It's a damn shame that independently minded people are the source of ad hominen attacks, character assassination and threats of physical harm because they happen not to like Obama. I could care less about Tavis or West, both are clowns to me. But I've never been able to figure out why anyone else would be threaten to the point of acting out in the most childish way, just because someone else doesn't share their point of view. Grow the hell up. Damn!
