There are plenty of very successful black people. So many more, year after year. So how is that possible in the bleak world you describe? The difference they have is they don’t blame things on others and don’t carry your huge chip around. You have to have a positive attitude, a grateful heart, and hard work. Also, fix the issues within the community. Broken homes with a very high percent of illegitimate births are not to blame? Glorifying criminal behavior? Or worst excusing bad and illegal behavior? These are the areas in need of improvement.

Watkins unfortunately seems to put close to all the blame on capitalists and shareholders for the creation and continuation of gangster rap. Its up to people to stop this garbage and not reward it by buying and listening to the stuff. Perhaps protests outside the doors of these companies and radio stations. Its people that can make a difference. Blame stagnates us. I liked Watkins previous article where he mentions stopping himself from listening to it.
