oh, ok, let’s see: what about jim jones? were his followers to do nothing but pray because there’s nothing that they could do?

a crime has been committed: these leaders need to be subject to judicial authority!

i wish the people of the african american culture / churches would read their bibles for themselves and find out what is TRUTH, rather than being taken advantage of by the crap being told them by their pastors.

give your tithe and offering to a meaningful cause, not to stuff your pastors pockets!

and, what are you paid per year, mr. jakes?

stop being a victim! hold yourselves accountable, as you should your leaders!

I agree with TD Jakes about praying. This is what the congregation/members should be doing all the times. Many our our leaders especially Pastors face so many opposition. The thing that I have an issue with is that Eddie Long should have apologized to the congregation for his actions, not to admit but to apologize because had it not been for his questionable actions and fascinations with these boys is what got him here in the first place. The congregation deserved an apology and following that Bishop Eddie Long should have chosen to step down just like what Zachary Tims did. As matter of fact, he should have take leave and go before God, fasting and staying there because obviously there is something wrong. To TD Jakes and Creflo Dollar that is what you should be telling Bishop as he is considered your friend. His stepping up on the pulpit from all the mess, was a blatant slap in the face. He has no remorse and that is what saddens me. Many saying God woudl forgive yes he would but remember God also has a wrath and when it’s too much he will step in. Go and check out Levi and his sons, Saul, and Ornan. God is fed up with the mess and so is the American public. PPl are starving out here and they living lavish lifestyle where did u see Jesus do that. News flash

I think God said not to judge… no one has the right! No of us are God and knows the truth! Know this, New Birth is still goin to New Birth to seek God and praise Him. Dont be deceived by these things because when you walk with God you will have times where He puts you in tight places. God has the final say! watch your words because when you judge, you have to ready for the same judgement. I agree with jakes… pray!

When is the body of Christ going to pray for our leaders on a regular basis, and stop bashing them in the media and on the internet. While we may not, as humans, agree with the way things have been handled, we are still obligated to pray God’s word over our leaders; both spiritual and secular.Too many times other leaders in the body use situations like this to criticize and judge other leaders. If we in the body of Christ don’t pray for our leaders, then who will?

Its pretty sad , when we call men to accountability and we feel exempt from it. Bishop Jakes, as a supposed “spiritual father to Long, should hold him accountable for his actions. Where are the ‘Nathan’s” OR THE VOICE of, that will speak into our lives when we ignore to confront our issues. Confrontation will indeed bring liberation from the evils that lie in our heart.
