The “prosperity gospel” is a con and a farce and un-Christian to boot. Why do you support miscreants like Long, who take from their poorer constituents to life the life of Riley? Creflo Dollar as well — his lifestyle and “I’m too holy to touch” posturing utterly disgust me.

Try to figure out who the “real” satanic folks are here. Hint: it’s not the folks who are calling a spade a spade, any more than Jeremiah and the other prophets of the O.T. were “of the devil’ – although at the time, many in Israel thought they were!

Insist on righteousness and morality. Don’t settle for anything less!

I want to speak to zwai ntanjani who made a comment on June 20. I agree with you that we should pray for our preachers who make mistakes, and that we should seek to restore them. However, according to Proverbs 28:13, only those who confess and forsake their sin will prosper and receive God’s mercy. Which means the opposite of that is also true. Whoever doesnot CONFESS and forsakes his sin will not receive mercy or prosper. Until Bishop Long openly acknowledges what he did, he has no right to expect or receive mercy from God; and if he is not right with God, how can we be right about him. Spiritual leaders are called to a higher standard. Everyday believers can go home and confess and repent of their sins alone with God. However, spiritual leaders who are responsible for the souls of people have to publicly let people know that they have a repentant heart before God. Bishop Long has yet to do that. He has never even said that he didnot do it. The bible calls for Christians to judge sin (I COR. 5:1-13). Restoration doesnot begin until repentance takes place.

Chritian are acting like drug lords shooting their wounded soldiers instead
of helping & restoring them,I’ve kept him and his church in my prayers,
I’m a pastor from S.A and I know the only person who rejoices when things of this nature happens is the devil and his team,
But not God and his team,do u reject your child when sins against u,suerly no,let’s just pray for him and even for those 4 young men to be restored too.we still need him as a team member& also as a captain

There is much in this article that I find contentious, but will reserve my comments for a few points. Please separate the man from the message. The word preached by Long has been empowering to innumerable people across the globe. I will not attempt to defend him or his action because I do not know anything other than what has been published in the media. However, I kow that GOD is not ignorant of Long’s actions and He is a GOD of accountabiliity. Which means that you don’t have to condemn nor condone long’s actions-GOD will.

Your labeling these ministries as less than churches because of the level of living demonstrated is irresponsible at least and a personal affronting. Be very careful because such venom is usually associated with a personal vendetta or envy. There’s a lack of objectivity in your writing. Your tone betrays you.

The bible tells us that if we find our brother in a fault to go to him and attempt to restore him(paraphrased). It’s further evident that you are familiar with the Word, however, your actions, though journalistically acceptable, do not reflect the compassion or character of Christ.

Thank you for having the courage to say what no one else would. Long did have a couple of wrecks with greed and perversion. God’s mercy gave him another day to do better which does not mean that he should continue to preach or that he deserves a congregation of that magnitude (or any magnitde at all). It means that instead of being struck down for his sins he is given another day, which is awesome.

Many people will not see another day, will not be able to correct a wrong, see another day to prove that they love God and will carry the cross that has been placed on their shoulders for acts they have actually committed, another day to stand strong and face their afflictions instead of trying to cover them under the clok of darkness.

This preacher and others alike have caused severe confusion in the church. They have cause the flock to be scattered and have not gotten what they deserve, that is mercy. Again I say thanking you for speaking my mind.
