Lupe’s statement is the type of statement we would expect to hear from people in the music business. Emotional, yet uneducated ( or simply ignoring) of the political realities that exist that must be dealt with to keep relative order in the world. I think Obama and the US should be criticized for many things, I think calling him and the US terrorists is a bit of a stretch.

1st of all Lupe is not one of the Best Rappers to hit the game. He cant carry the microphone of a KRS 1, Mos Def, Chuck D, or even a Common, Etc… Yeah, he is clever, but so is my 8 yr old! 2nd – Lupe, if you don’t like this country, it’s political system or it’s current President.., Leave! Go to one of these other places and see if you have the freedom to openly complain, flip the Bird and tumb your nose, all the while sleeping, rising and profiting from the very system of socio-political,economic, military enforced freedom that allows a young, arrogant, miseducated black man, (who does not vote)to make money making what he calls music.

This country is not perfect. It has failed in many ways to live up to the hype and promise, and true- change is slow, BUT this county is better for Black people than any other place on the planet. President Obama is not a terrorist, he has to defend this country and it’s policies even against people, principals and ideals that some inside our borders embrace.

Thats the beauty of America, we have the freedom to disagree, protest, complain and even change if we chose too, because the Commander and Chief is willing to go to war to defend our freedom even to disagree with him. Theres a saying, “if you want Peace, prepare for War.” God Bless our Troops.
