This is a very insightful article. The writer took the time to take us in her world. I am grateful that she did so. Many writers would not step outside themselves and be truthful about their own lives in this day in age with the internet.

I think that women today really need this and think about how they present themselves in society. African-American women and men today need to hold true to the values that were instilled in us by our parents and live by example.

kYm, wonderfully written. Your words are like aloe vera that need to be gently and lovingly applied to the women, young ladies, and little girls across the board, period. Even if they do know that they are beautiful, it’s important to be reminded. I am definitely printing and saving this for citation reasons in my dissertation. Rockin’ awesome, kYm! ROCKIN’ AWEsome!

All black women should see this docu/film, but especially those who feel slighted about their skin color.

Get behind the film so it can have a wide distribution, and perhaps begin to start positive convo’s on how to stop this mess.
