Anytime the study or discussion of Malcolm X should always be taken seriously. The man was complex and highly intelligent. For Americans, especially black Americans to honor and respect his life we must kept vigil not to belittle or marginalized his significance. Back in the day when Spike Lee released his film on Malcolm’s life most black Americans failed to realized the true man he was. Malcolm’s legacy became a pathetic fashion statement for urban cities. Ignorant blacks purchased baseball caps and other clothing with an “X” printed on it from a Korean merchant after seeing a two hour film. I also recall seeing many black kids and young adults walking around in these cloths while raising hell in their own hoods. I just hope we’re smarter today
