He’s no different from any other director, writer, actor, etc. But there’s one thing that separates Tyler from anyone else: HE EMPLOYS MORE BLACK ACTORS AND ACTRESSES THAN ANYONE! If it weren’t for Mr. Perry many blacks would be unemployed and not even seen on the movie screen. Gotta give him a B just for that alone.

I happen to absolutely love Big Happy Family. The movie and the play has a little of everything: it deals with many important issues Mr. Perry tackled very well. IMO, it was a bold move on his part.
