My name is Aldo J. Martinez, Vice President of NYSE Regulation (retired). Currently I have a financial industry consulting firm, serve on the Board of Regents and as adjunct professor at St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, NJ. I have extensive experience with equities, futures and derivatives markets and one of my colleagues and I are putting together a trading program for high school students which familiarizes the student with the workings of the securities markets with emphasis on regulation and ethics. The objective is to make the student aware of the potentials of the financial industry but to approach it with respect to the rules and regulations and with an ethical concern of one’s social responsibilities. I currently teach derivatives markets and investment analysis.
