Just another thought. "African-Americans" hail Martin Luther King, he wanted all to be equal. You seem to be preaching inequality, and looking for Obama to give more lean to "African-Americans".

Well, I have a dream, "that there is no more NAACP and no more United Negro College Fund, and that we stand together United against the radicals that seek to destroy what White and Black has built together." And we did, men like Dr. King, and President Reagan, and others hurled us into the future of man in the U.S. While "African-Americans" wait for a president to give more wealth to them, heavy emphasis on GIVE, we are in danger of being overtaken by our enemies.

A Black agenda is necessary, I agree with the author, but the agenda cannot just come from the president. The black community needs to understand that the President of the U.S.A has more to think about than just black people. With that being said, the president should not forget about us. He should keep us in mind when bills and different policies cross his desk, but we (Black People) should not always be the determining factor for things that he approves and or denies.)

My students think that with an African American president everything should be better. They thought that once he took office things would instantly change. We live in a society where we want everything instant.
Instant coffee, instant cash and instant change for black America because we have a black man as head of the country.

I don’t think so people….change happens over time!
