5 Daily habits to improve your skin quality.

We all wish and aspire for a clear, bright and healthy skin which is very much in our own hands.  We all know that how much important skin is for us and its layers gives us protection and works as an effective barrier. Thus we should always try to maintain and keep our skin healthy and nourished to support its maintaining and protective role. We also need to know that our skin is the window to our body and both our age and health gets reflected from our skin. Also skin has many functions and it is a multi tasker of our human body. However it’s most important role is being the first line of defence between our body and outside world and protecting us from bacteria, virus, pollution and many other things in our day to day lives. Here we discuss few ways to improve our skin health and enhance it in various ways.

Intake a healthy diet

Your skin quality depends a lot on the diet you take and thus it is very important to intake healthy diet at all times. Always eat skin healthy foods such as fruits which have antioxidant properties and compounds to protect components of skin such as collagen and vegetables that have skin cancer prevention benefits. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and include them in your most of the meals.

Keep stress in check

It has been found that people with higher stress levels are more likely and prone to experience skin issues as compared to those with lower or no stress levels. People can develop itchy skin, hair loss, more sweating, scaly skin, hand rashes and many more if prone to stress. So smile and be happy and keep your stress levels to minimum to have a healthy and glowing skin.

Consider your water

Water plays an important role in your maintaining your skin quality and this is true. This is why it is advised to have at least 4-5 litres of water intake daily and people who follow a strict water intake have a healthy and glowing skin. Always use soft water to wash your face and avoid hard water.  In addition to this consider intake of water at regular intervals and especially in the morning when you get up have at least 2-3 glasses of water. Experts suggest that drinking lukewarm water is beneficial for skin so this can be adopted on daily eating habits.

Drink Green tea

Green tea has several skin benefits and this is the reason it is getting more popular these days. Polyphenol found as a compound in green tea is known to rejuvenate dying skin cells and can be useful for healing wounds and thus green tea can work wonders for your skin. People with patches of dryness, flaky and red skin if take green tea it can slow down the production of skin cells and suppress inflammation.

Quit Smoking

Smoking ages facial skin as well as skin located in other body areas. Smoking narrows the blood vessels and reduces blood flow and exhausts the skin of nutrients and oxygen which is required for the skin to remain healthy. In addition to these repetitive expressions that are made while smoking such as pressing lips lead to wrinkles on faces and thus it is advised to quit smoking for a healthy skin.
