(ThyBlackMan.com) Woke people are starting to make America feel like the “Night of the Living Dead.”
In Congress, the toothy Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has managed to nibble the political necks of timid Democrats who now walk around like zombies, reactivated with dead ideas that have no connection to real life. Once bitten, their only path to political survival is to suck the life from the body politic.
And, thanks to the activism of the woke media, things are starting to feel very creepy – like America is being plagued by a growing group of “living dead” monsters, spreading at warp speed.
“All I’m asking for is a little slice from the tippy, tippy top,” Elizabeth Warren told Jim Kramer last month, topping AOC’s “tippy top” baby language with an extra “tippy.” “A slice that would raise … about $2.75 trillion over the next 10 years.”
But $2.75 trillion is only an itsy-bitsy “little slice” compared to Ocasio-Cortez’s $93 trillion “carbon free in 10 years” plan. OK, let’s pretend we’re in La-La Land, and it’s possible to tax the tippy top rich enough to get the nearly $100 trillion needed. There’s a teeny-weeny detail you won’t find in the fine print of the Green New Deal: mass death.
“You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels,” wrote former Greenpeace founder Patrick Moore in a tweet, calling AOC a twit. “… or get food into the cities. Horses? If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death.”
But facts about mass death won’t stop “the boss” from saving the planet. Like the ghouls of the living dead, she just keeps coming. And it’s not stopping woke Democrat presidential hopefuls from endorsing it, either. By trying to out-socialist Ocasio-Cortez, the candidates have become a congress of crazies who make empty promises to solve imaginary problems with poll-tested solutions.
They want to make it legal for illegals to vote. They want free college for all. They want free health care for all. Candidate Andrew Yang wants a guaranteed income for all. Cory Booker wants to legalize pot at the federal level. Kamala Harris supports reparations and decriminalizing prostitution. Beto O’Rourke supports tearing down the existing wall between the U.S.-Mexico border.
After his infection with pop socialism, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper – another hopeful – wouldn’t confess that he’s a capitalist during a “Morning Joe” interview.
The interview reminded me of a question that another Joe used to ask in the “Red Scare” days: “Are you, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?” It’s now, “Are you, or have you ever been, a capitalist?”
Scarborough: “Well, would you call yourself a proud capitalist?
Hickenlooper: Oh, I don’t know, you know again, the labels, I’m not sure any of them fit …
Scarborough: Let me ask you, I’ll just break it down even more. Do you consider yourself a capitalist?
Hickenlooper: Well again, the labels. I’m a small business person, so that part of the system that you would call capitalist, I get it, I understand it, uh …
Scarborough: Right, so … do you consider yourself a capitalist, and does capitalism work?
Hickenlooper: Well I think, I don’t look at myself with a label. And I certainly think that small business is part of the solution …
We’ve come a long way, baby.
But if that’s not scary enough, it looks like the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts from the Palestinian point of view is flourishing in high places on woke Democrat soil. While there was no public support for Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks (except for Farrakhan), there is wide support for her deeply held belief that the Palestinians have a legitimate beef against the Jewish State for being “occupiers” and an apartheid state. Because Omar sees it as an issue of justice, being accused of anti-Semitism won’t stop her. She’ll just keep coming as she gets more skilled with her “experience in the use of words,” as Pelosi framed it.
Once the anti-Semitic dust settles, we could see an infection of the historically lopsided Palestinian point of view gaining traction inside the United States.
So, thanks to woke Democrats’ – Leftists, progressives, socialists and de facto Palestinians have infiltrated the bridge of the national ship. They’ve sank their teeth into visceral Trump-haters who gladly bare their necks so long as it helps them keep a grip on the slippery wheel of power.
As America’s woke people sleepwalk through the nation’s real problems, it doesn’t look like they’ll be going back to sleep any time soon. To our doom, they’ll be as woke as ever for 2020.
Woke people are like the ghouls from the “Night of the Living Dead.” Whether it’s the ruthless assassination of Kavanaugh’s reputation, or deliberately confusing legal with illegal immigration, or sabotaging the peaceful transfer of power, truth and facts do not matter to political zombies. They’ll just keep coming.
In the movie, when Ben was being chased by a pack of ruthless ghouls who had just eaten the charred remains of his friends, he ran into a house where the news was on. The reporter said one of the only ways to stop a ghoul was by a heavy blow to the head.
That’s what these folks need; a metaphorical heavy blow to the head. Having spent two decades as a Marine, I’ve learned that the best way to conquer an enemy is to make him a friend, as we did with Japan. But when you extend a friendly hand and they keep coming with blind hate, you know you’re dealing with ghouls who only respond to “heavy blows.”
We are in a severe ideological war with dire consequences to the spiritual and institutional life of this country. If the history of great nations has taught us anything, it tells us that if threats to the life of the nation are not addressed, there will come a time when it’s too late to turn things around.
We’re approaching one of those times.
“The history of failure in war can be summed up in two words: Too late,” said Gen. Douglas MacArthur. “Too late in comprehending the deadly purpose of a potential enemy; too late in realizing the mortal danger; too late in preparedness; too late in uniting all possible forces for resistance; too late in standing with one’s friends.”
