(ThyBlackMan.com) So Christine Ford ended up at a pool party with Judge Kavanaugh who is attempting to get confirmed for a lifetime to the United States Supreme Court. She says over 30 years ago while they were in High School and while he was drunk, he pushed her into a bedroom, covered her mouth and tried to sexually assault her. Whether he did or not has because a partisan circus of hidden agendas by both Democrats and Republicans.
THE OUTCOME WILL IMPACT THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY!
First of all let’s be honest. The Democrats waited until the last minute to bring up the allegation by Christine Ford so they could derail the confirmation of Kavanaugh. The Republicans want to push him through in a hurry because they know he won’t get confirmed at all if they lose the majority in the Congress in the mid-term elections. All that being said, which is the TRUTH about both sides, as a legal analyst I want to say what should be done. Interesting both sides have pseudo solutions.
Christine Ford should testify next week.
If Ford does not testify, the Congress should issue a subpoena compelling her to.
Any witnesses or people named in this matter should be compelled to testify via subpoena.
Judge Kavanaugh should testify.
Judge Kavanaugh should volunteer to take a polygraph and have the results made public.
Kavanaugh should ask the FBI to do a background check on this matter in order to try and clear his name. Who wouldn’t unless you are guilty or other skeletons might come out of the closet?
Any allegation with the stakes this high should be investigated per FBI background investigation guidelines and they have enough information to begin checking.
The MeToo movement should not be the gasoline thrown on the fire. And just as the Republicans are prematurely believing Kavanaugh, many women are prematurely believing Ford. People be objective until you hear them both publicly before Congress.
Ford passed a polygraph and while it cannot be used in court, the Congress and public opinion are not courts. Just because it cannot be used in court, that does not mean it is invalid. And you can bet if she had failed the polygraph the Republicans would be using that to shape public opinion. This I say it should work in her favor that she passed it.
A third party who is female should question them both because both the Republicans and the Dems have an agenda that has them too biased to be impartial. Both the Republicans and Democrats should submit their questions to this third party ahead of time.
The Dems think Kavanaugh’s confirmation will be the end of Roe v. Wade and make it hard for LGBTQ as well as give Trump a controlling hold on the Supreme Court. A hold that could save him from impeachment if it comes to that.
The Republicans have made up their minds before Christine Ford ever testifies before them because they want Kavanaugh, whether he sexually assaulted her or not. Various key Congressmen have said that.
If Judge Kavanaugh did it, he should not be confirmed to the Supreme Court because of such behavior being an innate hidden part of his character – at least under the influence of alcohol. And esp. if he lied about it as he in fact lied about other things in his recent hearings. But if he did not do it, Christine Ford should be charged with perjury and prosecuted. Somebody has to face consequences.
All this BS from Trump and others about what the FBI cannot do is not true. Nor is his lie of saying the FBI does not want to get involved. Not as a criminal matter but if allegations arise regarding a background that they missed, they need to go back and check it out.
Kellyanne Conway is full of BS in attacking the victim and spinning how long Ford waited. Hypocritically the Republicans waited until the last minute to give the Dems over 40,000 documents about Kavanaugh only days before the hearing. Both are playing games.
A skilled person who knows psychology, nonverbal communication and profiling can easily tell who is lying. And I noticed nobody seems to be mentioning this.
It is likely Kavanaugh did it to Ford and was so drunk that he did not remember long term and eventually repressed or forgot about it. Medically such a result can be proven in general about intoxicated people and long term memory.
These games by both parties are exactly why our country needs to dissolve both the Democratic and Republican party so we can get things done instead of allowing them both to blame each other and divide the country. Games are for kids and deception should not run America. But then again what can we expect? Look what it was actually founded upon.
