( Finding low spec PC games in 2018 looks like a challenge to many because people around us talk about virtual reality, 4K gaming and what not. Modern games need high-end laptops and PCs equipped with a lot of memory, storage space and new generation processors. So what if you have an old laptop but you still want to play some cool games? Here’s a list of 10 low spec PC games you can play on almost any laptop and PC.

  1. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has so much inside of it and PC gamers will be happy to know that the game doesn’t require high-end hardware. The minimum specs are not too hard to meet for laptops and low-end PCs. To run The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, your PC needs Windows XP or higher version of Windows (32 or 64 bit), 2GB RAM, a 2GHz Dual Core processor, DirectX9c video card with 512MB RAM.

Sims never fail to entertain people as they live their life to its fullest. Sims 4 is one of the low spec PC games in the series which you can play on almost any laptop if your PC meets the minimum system requirements. For this game, you need to have at least 2GB of RAM, DirectX 9.0c video card with a 128MB VRAM, a 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo or equivalent processor on your PC.

The game requires a DirectX9.0c video card with 512MB RAM, but if your PC has built-in graphics memory, you can run Deadpool without a dedicated graphics card on the system.

If you don’t even have 1GB of RAM on your laptop or PC, this Star Wars game is for you. The story of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes players 4000 years before the Galactic Empire formation. You just need a laptop or PC with 256MB of RAM and Pentium 3 or AMD Athlon 1GHz processor to play this game.

Players take up the role of a Native American assassin and fight against enemy groups using tomahawks, bows, and guns. The game is set in 1775 and puts you in a different kind of American Revolutionary War you’ve never heard before. It only needs 2GB memory, a DirectX10 compatible video card with 512MB graphics memory and a Core 2 Duo or equivalent processor to run smoothly.

If you have played GTA: Vice City or San Andreas on your PC, you probably know much about how amazing this game series is. If you’ve missed GTA 4 just because you thought it would require high-end machines, you should not miss this gem. If your laptop has 1.5GB of RAM, a 256MB video card and 16GB space on your Core 2 Duo/AMD equivalent processor, you can play GTA 4 at medium settings.

A wonderful story is there to explore in this fiction game. The game takes you on many different adventures as there are many locations available to explore. One of the greatest low spec PC games, 80 Days, requires your PC to have 2GB of RAM and DirectX9.0c support. This game adaptation of the popular movie Around The World In 80 Days was also nominated for BAFTA Games Award for Innovation in 2015.

Set in the classical antiquity time, the strategy game Rome: Total War 2 is powered by the Warscape engine that allows players to fight against thousands of AI soldiers. The game is developed by Creative Assembly, the studio that worked on games like Halo Wars 2 for Microsoft and Sonic Classic Collection for Nintendo. Your low-end PC can run this game if it is equipped with 2GB RAM, 512 MB VRAM and a Dual Core processor or 2.6 GHz Single Core processor.

  1. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

This is one of the games you can play on a low-spec PC and still spend many hours in gameplay. Getting any DLC will help you get more content to play. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth can run on low to medium settings if your PC has a Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of RAM. For the storage, you only need 449MB of free space for the core game. A DLC pack will need more storage space.
