(ThyBlackMan.com) The Nokia X6 launch in China was a success as the stock went out in 10 seconds. HMD Global is considering international launch for this phone. It’s still unclear when the Nokia X6 will hit the U.S. market, but we can be sure that the company will make it happen soon.

In a Twitter poll, HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas asked fans if they want to see Nokia X6 in other markets. With 92 percent response in favor of the global launch, fans conveyed their message loud and clear. Fans also got a positive affirmation from Sarvikas. Now it’s almost certain that the mobile phone will be available in the U.S. market. Here’s what you should know about the Nokia X6.

The Nokia X6 is HMD Global’s first smartphone that sports an edge-to-edge display and a notch. It’s kind of different than many other smartphones. The phone is beautiful of course as the notch sits on a big 5.8-inch full HD+ display. The 80.3 percent screen-to-body ratio speaks for itself. Nokia has once again proved that it is no more a smartphone brand that only makes big chunky smartphones. Under HMD Global, Nokia is going with the trend and it’s amazing. Recently, the company received $100 million investment to further expand its mobile business.

Nokia has done everything they could to keep the pricing low. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is selling cheap stuff in the name of innovation. The Nokia X6 comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset with eight Kryo 260 cores. The processor is built on the 14nm node that makes it more energy efficient than 28nm designs.

The Snapdragon 636 is coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and runs on two variants of the Nokia X6. You can choose the 64GB variant with 4GB and 6GB RAM options or you can pick the 32GB/4GB variant. There’s a dual camera setup on its back that packs 16MP and 5MP sensors. Surprisingly, the front-facing camera is also a 16MP shooter which is enough for high-quality video calls and photographs. The phone’s camera software is powered by artificial intelligence, so you can also enjoy third-party apps,  inbuilt camera features and face recognition system.

The Nokia X6 supports Bluetooth 5, USB-C, and Quick Charge 3. It comes equipped with a non-removable 3060mAh battery which you can charge 50 percent in 30 minutes. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor on its back. It sits below the vertically placed main camera.

In terms of looks and design, the Nokia X6 uses 95 percent fuselage glass cover. The phone comes in black, white and blue colors and with the glass body, it looks beautiful and a true Nokia phone. The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and we all know how good it feels when you use clean Android on a Nokia phone.

At this point, we do not know for sure when we will see Nokia X6 in the U.S. market. But if it happens, as hinted by HMD Global, the smartphone has got some strong points to attract people in the west. Other than the Android Oreo, 6GB of RAM, rear, and front-facing cameras, 18:9 display aspect ratio and glass body are the key features of this phone. Its battery may disappoint some fans, but it doesn’t look like a deal breaker. The processor is power efficient, and most importantly, the phone’s price is low.

The phone is available in China for 1299 Yuan which is close to $205. So if the Nokia brings the phone to the west, it should not cost more than $250. At this price point, we can expect the Nokia X6 to be a big hit in the market. The first sale of Nokia X6 was hosted on May 21 and 700,000 units were sold in 10 seconds.
