(ThyBlackMan.com) What do you think which smartphone brand makes the best smartphone camera – Apple, Google, Huawei, Samsung or some other brand? Well, this question had been bugging us for long and in order to find which smartphone has the best camera, we compared all the leading smartphones in different conditions. Here’s what we have found.

The Huawei P20 Pro Is the Low-Light Photo Champion

It’s not because of the megapixel count, it’s really the best camera on a smartphone and it even beats Apple and Samsung on this front. The P20 Pro is noteworthy as the smartphone features three lens setup. The lenses include a telephoto lens, an RGB camera, and a monochrome sensor. The camera demonstrates the best performance in low light. It easily beats the other leading smartphones.

Google Pixel 2 XL Camera Is a Great Performer

Look past its design downsides and you have the best camera on a smartphone when it comes to taking self-portraits. The beautiful-looking single camera setup on the Pixel 2 XL can easily beat any other Android smartphone that offers single or dual camera setup.

On Google Pixel 2 XL, the camera performs without any shutter lag and you should appreciate Google for delivering what they promise. Many smartphone makers claim that their smartphone’s camera clicks photos without lag but hardly a few of them impress.

Apple iPhone X’s Smart Camera Features Stand Out

The Apple iPhone X sports an amazing camera, thanks to its lenses that include a 12MP telephoto lens and a 12MP wide-angle snapper. The smartphone’s camera offers 2x optical zoom that lets you capture more detailed photographs without any compromise in clarity or sharpness. The portrait mode is matchless as it allows users to enjoy the same effects for pictures taken from both the rear and the front TrueDepth camera.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ Wins Hearts with Bokeh Effect

The difference is clearly visible how Samsung has improved its smartphone cameras with the S9 and S9+. The dual lens setup has allowed users to capture Live Focus shots with blur effects. The same feature is also available in the Galaxy Note 8 but what turns the heads is variable aperture settings on the Galaxy S9+ smartphone. Depending on the environment and lighting, the smartphone can change how your pictures look. In low light, the camera is capable of taking sharp images with noise reduction.

Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom the Best in Budget

A smartphone that claims to have great cameras and doesn’t cost a fortune is worth a try. When tested for its camera quality, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is one of the top smartphones with amazing camera quality. Like many other smartphones, the ZenFone 3 Zoom offers dual 12-megapixel rear cameras and supports a 2.3x optical zoom. The smartphone also offers an advanced image correction sensor, a pro mode, and 4-axis image stabilization for shake-free shots.

LG V30+ the Best Camera on an LG Smartphone

The LG V30+ is one of the best camera smartphones. It takes good images and captures videos very well. The performance of its camera in low light is good but it’s not as great as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The smartphone has a 16MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture. However, it’s not the best in the industry but its Point Focus and camera features make it stand out from the other Android camera phones in the same range.

Tips for Buying the Best Camera Phone

Now it’s easy for you to pick the best camera phones in 2018 but we haven’t seen everything smartphone makers are bringing this year. To choose the best camera phone, don’t rely completely on the megapixel count. A smartphone camera with the highest number of megapixels doesn’t necessarily mean that it is the best camera phone. Focus on other factors including aperture, features, video recording quality and most importantly how you’re going to use it.

Keep these factors in mind and if you still find it difficult to choose the best camera smartphone, pick any of the above-mentioned smartphones as those are the best camera smartphones in 2018.

  1. Good video review
good quality, easy to use, enhance the pictures taken. unfortunately, when i try to use it on my new huawei mate 8, the mount cant manage to avoid the power button. if the arm could be longer, or the openning on the side ruber is bigger, this could be fixed.
