Standard for Presidential Leadership is Dead.

(ThyBlackMan.comOne would think the President of the Unites States is one of the busiest people in the world. Being able to be personable with the people in one’s country is a positive attribute. However, how does one have time to be so embroiled in social media battles that are deemed a disgrace while there is so much work that needs to be done…and they call themselves the president. Let’s be a bit direct…the current president has decided to declare war on NBA and NFL athletes. He’s decided he can curse them out as he sees fit, and their rights do not matter.

The decorum of the president is dead, and many of us mourn its death. As Americans, we are seeing our leadership behave in ways we never thought imaginable, and the voice of the people blatantly doesn’t matter. To say 45 cares about approval, and ratings he doesn’t seem to realize he is speaking, and tweeting his way into what many feel is the worst administration they have ever seen.

Okay, so Stephan Curry doesn’t want to visit the White House, as an NBA champion, because he strongly disagrees with the stance of this president. There are many of his teammates that are of a similar mind. Is this not their right as American citizens? What made the president feel the need to tweet: Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”

While he is busy tweeting I am pretty sure there were presidential matters that required his attention far more than this tweet. Furthermore, the players decided they weren’t going before an invitation could be withdrawn. This is petty, and unnecessary. The current president is on a roll. In addition to withdrawing invitations he found the time to call NFL players that took part in protest SOB. That is disrespectful to those players, and their mothers. This man has absolutely no control. This administration is without sensible leadership. There were presidents in the past with bad politics, policies, and attitudes but there was a line they did not cross.

This president has absolutely no respect for the office he holds nor the people he represents. While he’s busy tweeting nonsense, and giving inflammatory speeches he needs to be working with congress on a laundry list of issues. He could be trying to figure out how to deal with N. Korea without embarrassing the country, and making the situation worse. The president could be taking the time to learn how to properly address the Unites Nations in a manner that, again, does not embarrass nor alienate the Unites States.

This man is incapable of adequate leadership. He cares not for the well being of his people, nor his own administration. The honor of the office has left the White House, and it’s going to be hell getting it back…if that’s even possible. Trump, you may want to leave the athletes alone, and stick to trying to run this country; find the necessary leadership.
