(ThyBlackMan.com) What is the difference between those who claim they want to achieve something great – whether it’s writing a book, launching a business or going back to school – and those who actually do it? Mindset! Success begins with a thought and eventually becomes a mental attitude. A mindset is an established set of mental attitudes. The success mindset unfolds in six degrees – six degrees of thinking that separates one from those whose dreams take off a like a rocket but eventually fallback down into the sea of reality. What are the benefits of such a mindset? To quote Charles F. Haanel, the holder of this approach, Will not fear criticism or anything else; he will be too busy radiating courage, confidence and power; he will anticipate success by his mental attitude.

First Degree

Sees Opportunities

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset sees opportunity where others see only limitations. This is a difficult assignment, because so many people focus only on what appears to them via the conscious mind. The Six Degrees of Success mindset is always asking, “What’s the opportunity?” Seek opportunity without becoming opportunistic; explore but do not exploit.

Second Degree

Recognizes Possibilities

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset recognizes the difference between opportunity and possibility is that not all opportunities represent possibilities. The Six Degrees of Success Mindset constantly appraises every opportunity and selects the best potential based on factors such as time, expense and mental effort. People see opportunity but fail to make of it a possibility. Here’s the rule of thumb: a possibility exists when it results in an increase for any party involved. In other words, if it does not uplift, it should not be considered a possibility.

Third Degree

Forms a Mental Blueprint

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset forms a mental blueprint of the desired end. Once the opportunity has been recognized and the possibility actualized, the Six Degrees of Success Mindset develops a vision. With the conscious mind, this mindset begins to form the mental blueprint for the achievement of what’s desired. This is where the dream is possibility is nurtured as it moves into reality.

Fourth Degree

Sets a Goal

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset sets a goal. The vision gives birth to the goal in written form. “Write the vision. Make it plain”, the prophet Habakkuk is instructed in the Holy Bible. So as not to drift aimlessly, the goal is set and one becomes attracted to the goal – much like a magnet.

Fifth Degree

Launches without Waiting

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset does not wait for approval! It launches as is; it does not put itself into a hold position; it does not wait for funding; it does not wait for investors – it begins as an idea birthed from the subconscious of the host.

Sixth Degree

Regurgitates Failure

The Six Degrees of Success Mindset regurgitates failure into desired effects. Why do six of ten businesses fail? Because the dreamer met success disguised as failure and stopped. Don’t let that be you! If your plan does not at first reach your initial expectation, revisit and revise the plan – but most of all regurgitate the failure into something more powerful and purposeful. Consider the expert’s view on what went wrong, but in the end trust your instincts.
