(ThyBlackMan.com) Political corruption on any level is damaging, especially if the offender is from an urban area in this country.

One of the things I have personally seen over the years is that many urban politicians always talk a good game, but once they get in office, they deliberately turn their backs on the people who not only supported them, but also voted them into office by co-signing on destructive laws and pieces of legislation that is meant to uphold the colonial status quo by harming their own community in the process and I have seen many neocolonial sellout politicians do this over the years.

For those that don’t know what the term “neocolonial” is, it was actually coined by former Ghana president Kwame Nkrumah who led Ghana to independence from British colonial rule in 1957 and served as its first prime minister and president.

Neocolonial basically means White Power In Black Face and I’ve seen my fare share of them over the years from Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, William Goode, Kwame Kilpatrick, Michael Jordan, Ray Nagin, Floyd Mayweather Jr., etc.

Today, I read an article online about this urban politician here in Alabama that used to play briefly in the NBA with The San Antonio Spurs named Oliver Robinson.

Jefferson County here in Alabama has a very notorious reputation for being “the most corrupt county” in The State of Alabama as well as Birmingham (which is located in Jefferson County) being arguably the most corrupt city in the state along with Montgomery

Recently, Oliver Robinson was indicted by a federal grand jury here in Birmingham, Alabama on corruption charges stemming from  federal bribery, conspiracy, fraud, and tax evasion charges that he received bribes & kickbacks through his foundation aka The Oliver Robinson Foundation from a coal company called The Drummond Company and law firm called Balch & Bingham to advocate against environmentalist efforts to expand the number of polluted areas slated for cleanup in and around north Birmingham (which is where Oliver Robinson is from) .

The most egregious and horrendous part to this public corruption scandal to personally is when Oliver Robinson sold out his entire community in Birmingham all for the sake of the parasitic capitalist dollar by telling his own community in North Birmingham to not let a group of environmentalists test the soil in their area for arsenic and lead poisoning, two highly dangerous chemicals that has greatly affected some urban people across the country in cities like Flint, Michigan.

What this guy did was not just heinous and egregious against his own community, but he also joined the long line of notorious neocolonial sellout politicians who have harmed their own communities across the country in very irreparable ways like notorious neocolonial mayor William Goode ordering a bomb to be dropped on The MOVE Organization in May 1985 because the corrupt city government didn’t like The MOVE Organization exposing their dirty corrupt misdeeds to the urban community in Philadelphia.

Urban people in America have a very toxic and harmful relationship with parasitic capitalism and it has caused a lot of us to not only throw away our self-esteem, self-worth, and integrity, but to also sellout the people that we love and care about all for the sake of the parasitic capitalist dollar. Parasitic Capitalism is like a machine that never stops digesting by taking in more and more until it overloads.

The Conclusion – We must come to a deeper understanding of who is really our brothers and sisters and who are not our brothers and sisters because there’s an old saying that’s still relevant amongst a lot of urban people today “All skin folk ain’t kind folk“.
