(ThyBlackMan.com) The official Motorola Support team on Twitter confirmed that Motorola 360 2nd Gen smartwatch will soon get Android Wear 2.0 update. The watch was released in 2015 and since February this year, users are waiting to get Android Wear 2.0 update on their device. Earlier this year, the company promised fans that the update rollout will be done by the end of May, but as the users didn’t hear anything from the company, they started asking about the Android Wear 2.0 update rollout for the smartwatch.

In response to a fan’s query on Twitter, Motorola confirmed that Android Wear 2.0 will start rolling out, “possibly as early as today.” The company made it very clear that the update will be released in phases, so there are chances that some users will get the update on the day one, while the others will have to wait for a day or more. The best thing is that the company is delivering the update as promised to the users.

However, Motorola has almost left the smartwatch market, but the products company introduced in the past are still the best in class and many people use them. The existing wearables are in need of continued support from Motorola and finally the company has heard the requests. This is not the first time when a smartwatch is getting Android Wear 2.0 update, and many other smartwatches have received the new version of Android Wear, but Motorola said that the update would be rolled out in the month of May and left many fans disappointed that time.

So far, no one has reported receiving the Android Wear 2.0 update on Motorola 360 2nd Gen smartwatch, but it’s likely that everyone will get the update in the coming days. Hopefully, during May, the update will hit all the smartwatches.

For those who are not aware about what’s new in the Android Wear 2.0, it is a new improved version of the existing operating system and brings several new changes in the way you use your smartwatch. The Wear 2.0 is already available on many wearables and as far as the platform reviews are concerned, the Wear 2.0 is said to be the best update ever released by Google for wearables.

From the latest Motorola 360 2nd gen smartwatch update, you can expect a refreshed user interface and many new features. You will get an on-watch Google Play Store, so that you can easily download applications directly to your smartwatch, instead of filling up space on your phone. Additionally, Motorola 360 second generation smartwatch owners will get support for watchfaces.

Some companies have even customized the platform by adding their own proprietary applications, which include new applications as well as the old ones. Motorola hasn’t shared any specific details about whether the company has planned to make any changes in the system to deliver more user-friendly experience with the update or they are just sticking to the default release done by Google. Regardless of what Motorola does with the improved system, there’s so much in the Android Wear 2.0 for the Motorola 360 2nd gen smartwatch.

Motorola didn’t break the sales chart by introducing its smartwatches, but the overall reception is pretty good. At least the watches didn’t disappoint users as well as the company. But in a surprising move, the company last year, announced that no any Moto 360 watch is in production and fans should not expect any new watch in the product line. In some countries, even the listing of Motorola’s 350 2nd gen and Sport smartwatches disappeared.

It is said that the arrival of LG’s smartwatches made Motorola to discontinue its smartwatch production. But if you are still looking to buy the watch, there are chances that you can get it from some online shopping websites. Whether the manufacturer will sell smartwatches again or not depends on time, but one thing is sure that you won’t have to wait any longer to get the Android Wear 2.0 update on Motorola 360 2nd gen smartwatch.
