Giving homework to students helps them learn the art of responsibility, solving problems, managing their time and dealing with issues head on. What they learn in schools is what they will need to apply when they start being independent when they finish school. They will know how to handle their homework. - Homework takes time away from family
Homework means that you will always be busy in the evening all the way to night time until you are through. Sometimes, students have to put in the work and time during weekends to get the task done. This takes a lot of precious time away that could have been spent with their family and friends.
- It becomes stressful for young kids
As much as homework is important in the improvement of the student’s skills, it can also be a burden and stressful especially for young kids. Most argue that homework given to small kids in school may be too much to handle. In such case, it is deemed stressful. When students have a lot of lessons to cover at school, children tend to lose interest in their studies. They are already tired by the time they reach home and some ask the parent, can you do homework for me? This is a major problem that faces both parents and teachers.

Most educators are for the idea that homework helps to assess what the student has learned in class. While this may be true for those students that work on their studies honestly, it may not be the case for those who like taking shortcuts.
