(ThyBlackMan.com) We are being told that we should give Donald J Trump a chance as President. We are told that even if we disagree with who the president is we must respect the office of the President. We are being told Donald J Trump won so we need to get over our disdain and at the very least be respectful. This is not the first time many have seen their candidate lose an election. There were not a lot of black people that were thrilled about George W. Bush when he became president. The problem is the level of hypocrisy we have been demanded to swallow. It doesn’t matter if you liked Former President Barack Obama we could all agree that he was held to a separate standard, and he was disrespected on all levels.
This is worth discussing because the disrespect continues. It is considered presidential decorum for the current president not to blatantly attack the previous. I guess the current president didn’t get that memo…along with many others. In addition to enduring eight years of hatred and disrespect Barack Obama now must deal with being accused of wiretapping the campaign of a presidential candidate. It is not Barack Obama’s fault that the current White House is in disarray. The former first family went on vacation, and they are transitioning to the life of private citizens.
Donald Trump is making his own mess in Washington by being irrational in his communication, especially on Twitter, and convincing Americans every day that they can’t trust a word coming out of his mouth. It is not the former presidents fault that this president’s Attorney General lied under oath hence committing perjury. It is not the former president’s fault that the current appointed an Education Secretary with no experience. It is NOT the former presidents fault that every time we look up the president is headed to his resort in Florida. It is not the fault of the previous president that this president doesn’t seem to understand how government nor democracy works…nor that he has waged a war with the media. This list could go one for days…the bottom line is the issues the Trump White House is facing has absolutely NOTHING to do with Former President Barak Obama. This must be understood because it could be, in part, why the hate continues.
When the former president comes to town, or is seen, he is embraced…cheered, and the completion of his term in office is lamented by many Americans…even Republicans. So many Americans took him for granted…they took for granted the office of the President being handled with dignity and respect. So many wanted to see the Black President fail…now they wish they could have him as their Global representation once again. This is a problem for the current president who is clearly a narcissist, and thrives on attention. Trump is constantly facing the Russian involvement question, he has to hear the media question his competency, its constantly reported that his business ties are worth impeachment, and his Attorney General was under fire for lying…about Russian communication. So, how do we divert the attention of the American people…BLAME THE BLACK PRESIDENT!
You may think that’s a harsh assessment, but there is no way Donald Trump should be accountable as President. No, he can just try blaming the previous president for a crime that would rival Watergate. I’m sure this president had no idea the gravity of accusing the previous president of ordering his campaign to be wiretapped. If he knew he would have kept that lie to himself, and created another. Why make it about race? Well, George W Bush has finally spoken against this president’s war with the media, and I guarantee you Trump will be careful of speaking against George W Bush. This president went as far as saying via Twitter: “How low has President Obama gone to tap my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!“. What’s sick is a sitting president making such heinous accusations with no sources nor evidence to substantiate his claim.
Furthermore, does he not realize that Twitter is not the outlet to release such a serious accusation? Apparently, he does not realize quite a bit. Has not Barack Obama dealt with enough in regards to blatant disrespect? Has not his family endured enough? I’m sorry I can’t give this president a chance because he has no spine. I can’t respect a leader that must falsely drag his predecessor to try and take the heat off himself. Donald Trump blatantly lied on the campaign trail, and he’s doing so now. He had no regard for facts prior to becoming president, and that lack of regard has grown. This lie, however has all the making to be his undoing because he’s put himself in a terrible situation. Donald trump will need to realize if he wants to be respected as a president that would start with him respecting the office, and those that have held such…this includes the Black President.
