(ThyBlackMan.com) Growing up as a kid, I didn’t knew what the term sexual irresponsibility meant, but I knew I had 8 other brothers and 1 sister.

When I got older however, I finally realized that I was the product of sexual irresponsibility because my mom had 10 kids with 6 baby daddies in all.

I sometimes hear stories of ordinary and famous brothers like deceased rapper Shawty Lo that have over 11 kids through multiple baby mamas. My first thought was there is a huge lack of discipline and STDs are very rampant in our community.

There are a lot of guys in our community that often listen to bastardized urban music on the corporate radio that tells them that if a beautiful woman approaches them and offers them sex, they’re supposed to take it no questions asked and because of this, there are a lot of brothers that are basically baby daddies and this is very destructive to our family structure because many kids come out of these relationships and become angry and bitter that their fathers aren’t around to help raise and provide for them emotionally and financially because if they ain’t taking care of their kids from previous relationships, they definitely ain’t gonna take care of yours.

One of the most notorious cases of the baby daddy epidemic that has plagued our community over the past few decades is a football player named Antonio Cromartie, who is currently a free agent has 12 kids (4 with his current wife Terricka & 8 through at least 7 other women in different states).

To be honest, I feel sorry for the sista who is married to him because that’s not a complete man she’s married to, that’s a piece of man that she’s married to because there will always be a piece of him left behind with seven other women and it’s creates complicated situations, financial problems, etc.

I have said this once and I will say it again, “It’s never good to sleep with everything that moves very recklessly and irresponsibly and get multiple kids through several baby mamas because this negatively affects the kids that will cause them think and act in a certain way.

A lot of African men that are 20+ years old that still have the mindset of a boy will not make great husbands and fathers in the home, they will make great baby daddies which is sad.

A lot of the sexual irresponsibility that is happening in our community comes from the marketing and promotion of it from the rap songs that young African men listen to on the radio that constantly telling them to sleep with everything that moves and brag about it.

Sexual irresponsibility is harmful to our community because a lot of brothers that are not disciplined enough to understand that they can’t sleep with everything that moves.

The Conclusion – We should teach our young men the discipline they should have kids by women that truly love them and have a real relationship with them.

Great article my dude! I agree with 35% of this article and 65% that i do not agree with you on this article. Why?…… Here’s why and not to beat around the bush and to be flat out honest with you.

Me say: (PART TRUE )That’s not the big issue and you can’t blame it on Rap songs. The black family structure was torn apart since or during the SEGREGATION ERA/ THE GREAT DEPRESSION AREA UNTIL THE CRACK-ROCK DRUG PEDEMIC ERA OF THE 80’s that started plaguing the black communities and the black family structure along with the whitewashing money making media and the entrtainment world. Also “Note that the feminist movement started in the 40s and 50s” which also played a major role in the black communities by black women from their white counterparts “WHITE WOMEN” who were protesting against their own white men for equal rights as women. Black women somehow was influenced in that era for women’s equal rights. Why you think our black women aint like what they use to be in the early 20’s amd late 30’s????. They were seen as man’s property and they obeyed “Docile, obedient and nurturers by nature in the homes raising kids amd cleaning the home while men work and provide for his family. What happen now?, it’s the 2k modern world and our black women are not like that now today.

I’d say: Partly true; and the same could be said about a lot of black sisters who are not discipline enough to understand that “THEY CAN’T SLEEP WITH EVERYTHING THAT LOOKS GOOD, LOOKS REASONABLE FOR THEIR OWN LIKING as a suitable mate or even think he’s man enough to be honest and upfront like a man “Regaurless what she may make of him to have or bear his own kids.
These sistahs Knows what a good black man is but, they don’t want nothing to do with him “HE’S TOO NICE” type of guy. They want these jocks “Entertainers of pesty black men” in the black community who they see like the THUGS, THE SMOOTH TALKING PRETTY PLAYBOY” or the Crazy throwed off black men who are for show “Mosty these guys end up as insecure or abusers in the relationship” instead of a well minded and respectful no drama responsible raised and respectful black man who want a lady to ride with to the end with him and form a strong black family structure on their own.

I’m not blaming blacking women/sistahs but, there are some brothers who are messing it up for the rest of the good decent black responsible brothers as why our black sistahs are now caught up as being a baby momma and raising kids on their own from those sorry black brothers who they tend to get knocked up with which makes it worser of they “Black sisters” who should know the differences and start choosing WISELY as who they SEE FIT AS A MAN as a mate to have kids with responsibly and respectively in a black brother.
Black Sisters! Start making the right choices in a black male as a mate when it comes to partnering up in a relationship who you see fit “relationship material” and not for your own mutual pleasure as toys or temporary gain once you get knocked up. You should be held accountable for your actions and desicion making who you let into your door “Heart,mind, body and soul” instead of using the same old exuse and make the same old mistake after you have kid(s) by different guys in a relationship. Us men can’t put a gun to your head or force a relationship with you to have a child with you. It is your right to tell a man no and you have a right to think who you see fit to bear a child with you as you are a gatekeeper who you allow to let in. You are the gatekeepers and start making better choices in men who you put into your life respectively if you have respect for yourself as a woman. Thugs, Jocks, nuckleheaded or wolf in sheeps clothing well to do type of brother are not good for your well-being. Stop blaming and making exuses and or mistakes of your actions on poor choosing a black brother as a mate.
