Bernie Sanders: And Why Socialism Is Bad.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Sadly, so many of you are supporting Bernie Sanders for President. Sanders is a self proclaimed socialist. So I must ask you Sanders supporters, do you actually know what socialism is? Do you know that socialism is neither good for you nor good for this country? Do you know that China and the former Soviet Union are or were both socialist countries? Did you know that Hitler called himself a socialist? Have you ever thought about how things would end up once our government has that much power?

Socialism is a political system where the government controls the production and distribution of goods. You may think that would be a great idea, but it’s not. Our government is neither of the people, nor by the people nor for the people and it is not about to start if Bernie Sanders became President of the United States. Therefore the government is in no position to fairly and accurately take care of nor reflect the actual needs of the people. You see this as our government, regardless of which party is in power, forgets about the homeless, seeks to control and manipulate the poor with entitlement programs, leaves military veterans hung out to dry and continuously falters in the area of race relations and economic gender equality.

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE ALL FOR SOCIALISM IS THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE MUCH

The Constitution of the United States was not created to 123-berniesanders-2016accommodate a system of socialism and any man or woman who would try to convert our system of government to socialism would be defeated by heavy opposition from the capitalists, the wealthy, the congress, the corporations and a large portion of the middle class. Socialism is also about redistribution of wealth – sort of a Robin Hood approach. None of these groups are about to give up what they have acquired. Thus it is even unrealistic to expect socialism to work in America in the next decade. If such a major transition were to occur, it would take decades and a complete revision of our economic system – things that neither Bernie Sanders would have time to do nor the authority to accomplish.

If you want the government to take care of you and you actually think it will, take a look at Flint Michigan’s water and what happened after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.

Socialism also comprises the takeover of private property by the government. That won’t work in America either. One reason that would fail is because a great many people have mortgages and their houses are owned by banks and financial institutions. These financial institutions would fight tooth and nail to keep ownership of their properties. And private owners would do the same. Therefore socialism would require a complete revamping of both our banking and our mortgage industry and that is not about to happen in the next ten years.

Socialism at its core is about a classless society where the government decides what is best for the people, the government takes care of the people as it sees fit and competition is eliminated in the marketplace in order to bring everybody up (or down) to the same level. This may sound great to those who do not have much, but it is a nightmare to those who have worked hard to build businesses, buy homes and accumulate wealth. If our government ever eliminates competition in the marketplace, you can expect to pay a lot more for every single thing you buy and every service you use simply because they said so and there would be no competition allowed to challenge them.

Do you really think socialism would be allowed in order to give a rich man’s wealth to a poor man in this country? And if you bought a house, how would you like the government to take it?

Socialism is based on the idea that everybody works so everybody shares and everybody wins. But that is not going to happen either. First because jobs for every person in this country are not available. Second because there will always be lazy freeloaders who want something for nothing. Thirdly because jobs will continue to decrease as American companies like Nike and Apple find it easier and cheaper to manufacture their products in other countries. Fourthly because jobs in areas of skilled or blue collar labor will decrease as technology takes the place of human beings. So everybody will not have a job and there will not be a chicken in every pot. I am simply being realistic.

Don’t get tricked into believing that democratic socialism is any different. The fundamental principles are the same and once a government gets that much power, it can do what it wants. We don’t even live in a democracy in the first place – “and to the REPUBLIC for which is stands”.

Government control of almost everything at the cost of your economic freedom and individual liberties is a huge sacrifice and it will not work in America, at least not now and not for a while. The family must remain the core foundational launching pad of stability for all that we do in society. If the government replaces the family in that role, the government acquires too much power and too much control.

Though I did not refer to nor rely upon the links below to write this article, I did find the links after the fact. I believe they may be helpful to you as you explore the dangers of socialism and why it would fail miserably in this country. A socialist must not become President of the United States.
