Black Lives Matter Movement is a Disgusting Sham.

(ThyBlackMan.com) To be clear and succinct, the indiscriminate taking of black lives is unacceptable and must not be tolerated, and that includes—PAST, present and future. However, the insensitive and inappropriate behavior of taking the most evil and diabolical word in existence the n-word (n**ga/n**ger), putting it to music using it for monetary gain, shaking our booties to the rhythmic beat of it makes the Black Lives Matter Movement nothing more than a “disgusting” sham.

What about the lives of those victimized by the 300 year African-American Holocaust? Don’t their black lives count? Millions of Black people—men, women, AND children—were beaten, raped, castrated and/or murdered with “n**ger” being the last word they often heard. Yet the respect that’s being demanded today from others is absent within our own community towards our very own lineage.

Use of the n-word is transgenerational and it is time for black users of the term to grow up and shed the cloak of paternalism. The idea that use of the n-word by black people isn’t motivated out of racial hatred or animosity demonstrates a thorough lack of understanding of the odious impact of the term and the negative consequences its having on the black community in general. When black people are heard using “n**ga” as part of their private social vocabulary, it should be understood that they learned the word and its usage from white people presented to us with a psychological purpose behind it. The n-word is [more] than a slur or a derogatory term, it serves as a self-refueling, self-generating psychology conduit to ETERNAL mental enslavement.

During the African-American Holocaust the enslaved were purposely conditioned and programed to think the way their massa wanted them to think, and that is to see themselves in an inferior blacklivesdontmatter-2015light, to hate themselves, to accept the designated image of that of the racist term n**ger/n**ga. The word is so stigmatized that any attempts to redefine it suggest that slavery and oppression never happened—but the fact is, it did.

Use of the n-word by descendants makes a mockery of all the abuse (mental and physical) that our ancestors had to endure. And for those of you who may not use the term but tolerate use of it by others makes you an accomplice. There is no gray area, no in between; you are either for or against use of the immoral n-word. Anything else is nothing more than a copout lacking the mental fortitude to take a stand one way or another, which is a spineless position to adhere to.

When it comes to the n-word often heard is the outcry…there are more important issues to be concerned about than just a word, which translates into a lack of understanding about the human mind and the psychological effect words have on us be it positive or negative. What needs to be understood is that until we FIRST take back control of our OWN minds, none of the existing pathologies within our community will ever be resolved. Since our ancestors were looked upon as sub-human, 3/5 of a person, and as bestial savage beasts they were, as a result, subjected to the worst form  of inhumane treatment—mentally and physically—ever known to humankind. So why is it we embrace the n-word—and not such terms as—coon, Uncle Tom, Sambo, jiggaboo, porch monkey, jungle bunny, etc.? Simple! We weren’t [programmed] to do so.

Any sort of brutal act perpetrated upon the enslaved was always fueled with the ranting of the word n**ger as if this would make any unconscionable acts executed upon a so-called “non-human” n**ger acceptable in the eyesight of the oppressor’s Christian God. While the hanged, beaten and maimed drew their final breath, the last words the victimized often heard were the chants of n**ger, n**ger, n**ger ringing in their ears.

Conclusively on into the 1960s this brow beating continued. In the early 60s young black male in the South were often stopped by the police harassed and beaten until when asked what was their name and they responded I am a n**ger/n**ga would the beatings then stop. Accordingly the beaten young black males—and black people in general—were always admonished to never forget their appointed place as that of a n**ger/n**ga. This same admonishment was made to black soldiers upon their return from World War II, after fighting for their country—don’t forget your appointed place.

The movie “Straight Outta of Compton” serves as proof positive that with the proper approach black people minds can be manipulated and massaged to accept an appointed place of disrespect and contempt and revel in it. Many mentally and emotionally-scarred descendants of slavery are so severely psychologically disturbed that they now actually fight for usage of the n-word—and just for this one cause—blacks and racists are united on the same team. Term of endearment the n-word n**ga is not, the 300 year African-American Holocaust, the horrific side effects of Jim Crowism and the Civil Rights Movement nullifies such an outlandish suggestion.

Attempts are now being made to replace what is often referred to as the Black National Anthem “Lift Every Voice and Sing” with rap artist Kendrick Lamar’s song “Alright” which is laced with the n-word. This continual effort of searching for ways to cast the n-word in a laudable light only further demonstrates the lack of insensitivity, sense and appreciation of the titanic battles that our ancestry had to overcome. It is only black people who are encouraged to accept base commonalities as a lifestyle giving further credence to the psychological intent and purpose of the pejorative n-word. Black America is the only group that constantly and voluntarily take definitive steps backwards.

The psychological beat down needs to cease that is if we expect to overcome anything. Consider black on black crime, whenever, such crimes are committed the victim is always referred to as a n**ga and not by their name, and n**ga isn’t being used as a so-called term of endearment. Psychologically, it is far easier to kill a n**ga than it is to kill John, Bill, Jerome, etc. Black-on-black crime is rampant and out of control, yet isn’t considered in the conversation of the Black Lives Matter movement.

When thuggish cops take a black life they see themselves eliminating another n**ger/n**ga, not a [human being]. The sentiment is that a n**ga is fair game to be abused and dehumanized; the word n**ger/n**ga is and will always have a grotesque, and deadly meaning to it, we have the power to eliminate use of this pejorative word but are [falsely] under the impression that we are helpless to do so.

Throughout the grand and glorious history of Black African-Americans there have always been the determination and perseverance to elevate our culture to great heights this quest needs to be recaptured. Since the advent of Hip-hop the indigenous struggle of Black America has become a self-imposed cultural genocide. How did it come to be that Hip-hop self-destructive messages is culturally acceptable; use of the n-word, misogyny, sex, drugs and money; going to prison serving as a badge of honor, violence, black on black crime. No amount of money in the world is worth destroying our values, principals and progressive convictions, yet it is indubitably apparent that this has come to be the case.

The African-American Holocaust was no joke, self-imposed cultural genocide is no laughing matter. Black African-Americans must somehow learn to separate itself from the minstrel syndrome stop taking ourselves and the n-word as a joke. If we the Black race continue to refuse to re-shape our minds and thinking regarding the n-word and other community-destructing behaviors—insisting on continual acceptance and embracement of the term n**ga, then the destiny and fate of the once dignified and truly mentally-free race of people will be assured and sealed; relegating the Black Lives Matter movement to nothing more than a joke a pathetic and disgusting sham.

To the author and all intelligent AA, please excuse and ignore Dean because he apparently does not know any better. Wow.

As for the BLM Movement, there are bad apples in it, thugs, angry people with no positive agenda and angry people who do not know how to handle things in the right and lawful way yet still get results. I have contacted them and told them that.

However, that being said, I cannot stereotype the entire BLM based on the actions of a few people who think and act ignorant. If we use that formula, then we must throw out the entire church, the entire government, all police departments and all organizations. Each and every one of the groups I mentioned has bad apples in it, many of whom play a key role in their groups.

Christianity, arguably, had Judas and has Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, Paula White etc. But do we throw out all of Christianity? No. The fact is that we are dealing with people who are not perfect (especially me). Angry people without wisdom in their approach are in fact dangerous to any movement, themselves and any community, but that is not true of everyone in the BLM movement.

As another matter of fact, I recommend to your readers that they go to http://www.policemisconduct.net and see how bad it has really gotten. I wrote an article on this site which is now posted. It is about Open Season On Cops but I provide a training program of legal and lawful solutions that will get results.

  2. Once you have shown me who you are, what you think of yourself I must believe you and will treat you accordingly.

  3. jdean says:

Again saying nigga is not done to please our oppressors. It was done to take power away from them. We as black people are creative and come up with words that come from other words. ” Nigger” in a negative tone and intent toward us is a slur. Period. No excuses. People know the difference and no one’s self esteem, education, or reputation should suffer from using that word Nigga. I am a black man and I know how to present myself at the right places and times. Of course it would ignorant to say that word at a business meeting or a public speaking engagement. But with people who I’m comfortable with it, its not a problem. Why are we trying to dictate how friends talk with each other? If its not a problem to them , why is it to you. Charles Barkeley says on NBA on TNT ” I’m tired of white folks tellin me how I should talk with my fiends” I agree although its rare I agree on his politics. Its silly. Its not the sixties anymore. The world is different now, we should not use it as much but banning a word is unrealistic and not as important as getting together to change these bogus racist laws, white supremacy, and these bogus families we have who would let our daughters take selfies with George W. Bush in NO ten years after Katrina.

  4. If you create a culture, values and belief system, which supports that culture—such as white folks did for the enslaved by creating the image of a n**ga—then you and your children are destined to live what was created for you, unless you otherwise have the mental fortitude to overcome.

Many African Americans have grown up with false teachings about their homeland (Africa), their ancestors and themselves in general; and because there were no alternatives presented to them, ends up worshiping the lie presented to them which have created a form of self-hatred, dislike for themselves, their ancestors and their homeland. This aspect of being taught a particular belief-system from birth has to do with the so-called “law of report”, a powerful force which states in essence that a person who learns one set teachings BEFORE hearing of a contradictory viewpoint will often defend the teaching which he heard “first” to the death, whether the teaching is correct or not.

@jdean serves as a perfect example. He/she (don’t know your gender) find it most convenient to either ignore or be in DENIAL of the obvious. For example you take out of context some of YAH SHALAM comments to try and discredit Terry K choosing to ignore the comment that’s made relative to your very own position relative to the n-word as follows:

“IT IS A WORD OF GREAT CONTEMPT AND FITTING FOR A PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH PLEASING THEIR OPPRESSORS THAN REPAIRING THE BREACH THEY CAUSED WITH THE MOST HIGH. WE EVEN TRY USING THE WORD AS A “TERM OF ENDEARMENT” WHICH IS BUFFOONERY BECAUSE IT DOES NOTHING TO ALTER THE REALITY OF WHY WE WERE LABELED “NIGGERS” IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT MERELY BELITTLES THE VERY ONES WE PROFESS TO LOVE AND CARE FOR SO STOP!”

Another example of your tendency to IGNORE or be in DENIAL is your reference to Hispanics and their use of the term “fool”. Fool is not a racial slur, but wetback and spic are, which Hispanics do not publicly embrace, however you choose not to acknowledge this fact. One word they do embrace, as does the rest of the world is the n-word, ridiculing African Americans in the process. Because of our asinine global promotion of the n-word the entire world is laughing at Black America. Jews do not run around publicly embracing kike and hymie, other than Black African Americans no group on earth publicly embraces a term that demeans and degrades them.

  5. Steve says:

I agree that anyone who fights for the legitimacy of the use of the word is not seeing the holistic picture. No other group of downcast/downtrodden/targeted people have ever adopted the name that their oppressor has given them and worn it as a badge of honor. However it takes education, vision and courage to completely eradicate it. I think your article is definitely aiming us in the right direction.

  6. anonymous says:

I don’t use the n-word nor do I keep company with others that use it except family. Nonetheless I do agree with jdean.

  7. jdean says:

Shalom Yah Shalam for giving this no name Terry K the business. Its funny none of these so called self righteous negroes, African American or niggas, whatever we call ourselves this decade besides black, never argue the facts or bring something new to the table. They just recite FOX news or some blog they saw. They cant think on their own and have no sources for their thoughts. They are also stuck on this n-word. I think they jag off to it. They are obsessed with it. They say they dont use the word but want to write articles about it over and over. Read my responses and read Mr. Lewis response. He has no substance in his response. His article was good but focuses on this word like if we stop using it it will stop white supremacy. Stop assuming that people who use this word are making their lives worse, or losers who wear their pants low, or uneducated. Its the Willie Lynch theory of divide and conquer. The old doesnt understand the young and vice versa. For the last time our problems are bigger than using this word lets tackle crime in our hoods, police brutality, family values, group economics. Lets get together and put some businesses together instead of trying to make everyone think we are so smart and righteous. You niggas use that word. Stop fakin

  8. YAH SHALAM says:

TERRY K.- I PROMISE YOU I TRULY UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF YOUR COWARDICE MINDSET AND THE FACT THAT YOU ARE SCARED TO LOOK OUTSIDE OF THE MATRIX PROVIDED TO YOU BY YOUR SLAVE MASTERS. IT IS SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU ARE INSTITUTONALIZED. YOU LACK THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MOST HIGH ,SO YOU LACK THE TRUE KNOWLEDGE OF WHO YOU ARE, FOR THESE ARE NOT THE CONCERNS OF A SLAVE. I SIMPLY SPOKE ABOUT OUR CONDITION ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT WE (SO CALLED NEGROES)HAVE WITH THE MOST HIGH, AND THE MOST VILE OF SPIRITS JUMPED IN YOUR ASS AND THE NEXT THING I KNOW YOU’RE SENDING THIS UGLY VIBE IN MY DIRECTION.HUMBLE YOURSELF AND FIND OUT WHATS REALLY GOING ON – TERRY.

  9. Thank you Terry K and Marque Anthony, it is people such as yourselves that confirms and validates the true spirit of the memories of our ancestors and the black race in general. Unfortunately, there are still many of us who have closed minds to learning because to learn you have to first come to the realization that you don’t know and that is too big of task for some people to handle; their egos are larger than they are as a person.

They refuse to accept the fact that when we refer to each other as the n-word, as a so-called term of endearment, we desecrate and dishonor the memories and spirits of those who came before us. It is our duty and our call to accord our ancestors a better place in our collective memories than any money-hungry rap artist, dimwitted comedian, or blind revisionist has accorded them thus far. Anything less is a cowardly and meek surrender to eternal mental enslavement.

  10. TerryK says:

Hey H. Lewis don’t worry about ignorant people like jdean and yah Shazzam or whatever. They expose themselves for who they are – lost, angry and nobody important. You are on point and they just can’t accept the truth. Some people always have something negative to say but never help anything. People like them keep our people divided.

  11. Marque Anthony says:

Things can change. And things will change once we stop defining ourselves the way the slave master did. Words reinforce those perceptions, images, expectations, behaviors and reactions to the stimuli around us. We must stop tearing each other down period.

Any of us who cannot are those who are very programmed by our oppressors. Those who offer no real solutions but instead spout angry nonsense are part of the problem.

If black lives do in fact matter, we have to believe it and show it first. Only then will other races or ethnic groups attach the value to us that we attach to ourselves. It is not the total solution, but it is a heck of a start. GREAT ARTICLE!

  12. Marque Anthony says:

Words shape perception and perception shapes how people treat us or what they expect from us. Even more so what we expect from ourselves and each other. These things have been proven both psychologically and sociologically. I encourage the writer of this article because you are speaking the truth, even though it is unpopular.

As you can see, there are intelligent African Americans, black people and niggers. There are distinct differences between all three, as is evident by some of those commenting on your article.

    KEEP SPEAKING THE TRUTH!

  13. jdean says:

No not at all…. I dont use it in my everyday speech. I dont use it to greet every black person because it would not be prudent to do so to a stranger, but I do use it within my social circle and as a term of endearment towards my black friends who obviously would not get offended; of course everything is looked at with context and intent. So I never had any of my black friends say to me “wasup nigger” because thats not the way we as black ppl use it. We are being intellectually dishonest to think that nigga and nigger are the same. So if a white person whose people have a history of using that word says it to me I would be offended because of the racist intent. If a white boy who is my boy since high school said wasup nigga and he grew up around all blacks of course I am not offended. Because I know he has no ill intent. I would be offended if a black person called me ” stupid nigga” or dont act like a nigga, because of his intent. Words can be used for many purposes. We as blacks should not use that word as a crutch or cling to it at all. If that’s the case we should never use”fuck” “shit” “ass” which is not realistic. Yah shalam please do research on the “nagas” and “negus” the country of Niger and Nigeria. This word is not all bad. We have been brainwashed by the dominant culture to think words are bad. A curse word is a curse word because somebody who is not God said so. Dont let the oppressor fool you. They wanna say and do something that we can but they cant. Who are we to tell friends how to greet each other. Mexicans call each other fool. They have no panels, or articles or any problems with one word. We have bigger problems than this word. Obama said on a podcast. Its a system of racism, more than just words, and slurs. They use code words like thugs and urban to replace nigga, so should we ban those words since they are detrimental to our community?

  14. YAH SHALAM says:

THE WORD IS BIGGER THAN YOU, ME, OR SOME BRAIN DEAD EDOMITE ATTEMPTING TO DEGRADE US WHEN WE (SO-CALLED NEGROES) ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANIFESTATION OF THE WORD NIGGER. THE MOST HIGH SAID UNTO US (SO CALLED NEGROES) WE WOULD BECOME A BYWORD AMONGST THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH AND AN ASTONISHMENT (A STUPEFACTION) FOR ALL TO SEE/MOCK BECAUSE OF OUR BETRAYAL.THIS IS WHY OUR PEOPLE CLING TO THIS WORD. WE ARE A STIFF-NECKED (PRIDE FILLED/HARD-HEADED)PEOPLE, AND OUR ATTITUDES HAVE NOT CHANGED! IT IS A WORD OF GREAT CONTEMPT AND FITTING FOR A PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH PLEASING THEIR OPPRESSORS THAN REPAIRING THE BREACH THEY CAUSED WITH THE MOST HIGH. WE EVEN TRY USING THE WORD AS A “TERM OF ENDEARMENT” WHICH IS BUFFOONERY BECAUSE IT DOES NOTHING TO ALTER THE REALITY OF WHY WE WERE LABELED “NIGGERS” IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT MERELY BELITTLES THE VERY ONES WE PROFESS TO LOVE AND CARE FOR SO STOP! TURN YOUR HEARTS BACK UNTO THE MOST HIGH TRUE YSRAEL FOR ONLY HE CAN REDEEM US OF THIS NIGGER-LIKE MINDSET. SHALAM

  15. @jdean – You make the following comment: “If we stop using that word our circumstances will still be the same.” So I guess it’s safe to assume that the n-word is part of your vocabulary and you clearly see nothing wrong in greeting other black people as the n-word, thus condoning use of the term by any Black African American…is that correct?

  16. jdean says:

Its more than a word. If we stop using that word our circumstances will still be the same. Unfortunately, I understand your sentiment and passion for your people to do better. That word is used by all people rich, middle class and poor blacks even whites are calling each other that and I see that they are still winning the economic and power struggle. Its way more than a word. Don’t assume the use of this word comes in one context. It could be used is so many ways and many forms that context and intent is what I look at. If we use that word every other word thats bad, too. It shows someone has poor vocab and articulation of his thoughts. Its just not realistic to eliminate a word. Its is realistic to eliminate the negative behavior, attitudes, or outcomes that come from the use of that word.
