For years, I have personally watched Mr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. career from when he fought in the Olympics to his last fight.
Let me start a little from the beginning; be patient with me please as I embark on a long road travel. Meaning, how easy is it to express one’s thought as their own truth versus expression of ones’ truth hidden behind emotions. No matter whom we are, one thing we cannot escape is our emotions. It follows us because it’s a part of who we are. We hide it because we were never taught how to share it without being left vulnerable. When we do give people chances, they fail us and they take advantage of our kindness, and blame us as if we did something wrong. Those individuals shine a spot light on our weakness that may be easily seen versus those who weaknesses are easily hidden. How dare we point a finger at as if our crap has no scent?
Due to youth not being able to express their thoughts, we have become adults with confused emotions and no one to train us on how to deal with those emotions. A never ending cycle of “NO” return. We have become an angry society of youths in adults bodies, afraid to share as a whole due to the many disappointment that life has brought us and afraid to be friendly due to the selfish motives of the mass.
How do we connect with other likeminded individuals where we can grow together as God intended it to be when the fleas of society are out to infect us with their lime disease (hatred and distrust) how can the Country as a whole say they can’t trust anyone?
Surely, one of us has to be guilty of sharing envy, strife, hatred, crab syndrome, infecting our kids with the same fungi. Not Me huh? Surely we remember the last time we spoke, thought or acted ill will of our neighbor and justified why, rather we expressed it within or externally and we wonder why we are so unhappy with our lives looking for that peace only God is able to restore. In other words “go look in the mirror and ask the mirror (not yourself) but the mirror; cause some of us has believed our own lie of what we see within” go ahead, this can wait,” your mirror awaits you”..
Adult Peer Pressure
Only, individually can we look in the mirror to seek an understanding of all the things we know not. But due to society as a whole we have agreed with our neighbor even when our hearts knew different. No different than when we were in school; when we wanted to be accepted so we agreed against our own hearts only to be accepted. We repeated the process so much that we lost ourselves and pissed at others because we can’t find our way out. So we hate and blame others for our demise and their success rather that is a dollar raise or one who reaps millions. Every time we speak ill will of others out of envy (We can’t lie to ourselves), we have become the adult hates and no matter who joins in on the effort, we have connected and added negative energy to an already negative existing society.
What have we created? Is it a true reproductive system of LOVE or HATE and what part do we individually play in this? This letter is for those who want to search their own heart so if we get offended, it’s okay, it means we have been exposed, rather that is self-recognition or our neighbor no longer participating in the negative commenting. If there is power in words, then why are we taught words don’t hurt? Why haven’t we gone back to reexamine what our parents taught us? Words hurt me and I am not afraid to admit it. But I am not controlled by my emotions. Well, I’m learning not to be. My past pains, experience and lost doesn’t make that part easy for me. So Words do hurt. It’s okay to acknowledge that words will hurt and to teach our youth how to operate within their emotions and not out of their emotions. Listen to these youths, because if we don’t, someone else will and as a result, the cycle you experience will be the cycle your family and their family will experience. STOP and START OVER!!
Life is what we make of it and it’s a long road travel no matter how you look at it. Doesn’t it just make sense to try love without hate to see if it works? Peace of mind
When are we going to grow up and how can we expect our youth to be KINGS AND QUEENS when we know within us, we are lost , afraid, lonely, hurting, tired, angry, mean or full of hate. It’s not funny anymore.
Guess what? If we are afraid to speak up for ourselves, so are our children & have convinced ourselves its acceptable to hate or envy while hiding our pain within.
Our youth see us as weakness but too afraid to tell us. But because this is how society is and will always be, we protect ourselves by surrounding ourselves with those who see no judgment. Yes, there will always be that one Judas in every camp who sabotages their own gain due to greed for their own causing, jealousy, envy and strife.
You should know them by their fruits.
In 7 months, STI740,”Sports Talk with Isaac Cherry”, the youth teleprompter which is the only sports youth and education talk show hosted, produced, directed and livestreamed by YOUTH in the world has finally been recognized by its city for their hard work and dedication reporting and commenting on community and world news such as police brutality, rebuilding, who’s who in the community, youth roundtable dialogue with its officers for attacking the issues our community are facing.
STI740 is excited to recognize as a partner with the City of Dallas, Police Activity League, Black Police Association, Operation BlueShield, Operation Community Care, and Camp Wisdom Now to assist bridging the trust between the officers and the community.
Before the many police brutality media reporting, STI740 (OUR YOUTH) was discussing the many pressing issues our youth and communities were facing due to lack of dialogue. How can we solve a problem without asking our youth and how can we get this information from our youth when we have told them they don’t have a voice unless they are being spoken too. (Not Often).
We as adults have limited our youths & took away their voice not realizing they are speaking their pains in many forms that are undesired and destined for failure unless we support them when they are doing positive things.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. Gym was an experience of a lifetime. Not because of Floyd Money Mayweather (no Pun intended) but because of the realness of those apart of TMT. I have been around many people in my life time but have yet to experience family unity in the way I saw it at Floyd Mayweather Jr. gym. It makes sense why the family is so tight and no one can get in. There is a true “AM I MY BROTHERS KEEPER”. Of course we may see fights from time to time, but name me a family that haven’t so I can stay far away from them as possible. They were real, their stories of achievements, prison which I can relate,
Interviews done with these youth than one can grasp. After listening to their many stories, it left us in awe to their new beginnings. They believe in supporting the youth unlike any organization or person we have ever met. They felt no threat with our youths and felt the need to support their own as other ethnicities support their talented youth & not just the needy. They assist sti740 youth’s from their hearts and not for show or for acceptance as if they were their own children.
CAUTION: Don’t think for one second anyone can come in Floyd Mayweather Jr. Gym with hustle. They have a gate keeper by the name of Steve who is not having it. He and 98% of those in that gym are from the school of hard knocks with no apologies. These are real people with the same pains we have. Money may ease the pain temporarily but the pain will still remain if not treated. Our way of easing their pain is show them the same unconditional love they showed us without asking for anything in return. This gym is full of great people whom had bad experiences but overcame them and who better to discuss their life experiences our youth than those who are overachievers.
Stay tune because we will use our media outlet to shine light on the future champions inside Floyd Mayweather Jr. gym. After listening to these amazing stories, we knew we have to get the word out. It’s so powerful when one owns their own network where we can have our youth to replace negative media with positive media. Of course we need your support. This has been out of pocket expense from me since the beginning but we see a light somewhere at the end of the tunnel. Just do not know where it is. STi7740 was invited to be at Floyds next fight and to access for interviews anytime. That’s something no man can take away from youths who are practicing their craft in middle and high school.
We saw all types of people entering the gym only to be turned away due to wrong motives. Our objective was not to only receive but to use the gift of these youth’s to provide a positive youth network to brand those fighters who are needing sponsorship and positive media as well as to get their story out without using any of Floyds funds but to seek sponsorship to those fighters who are truly working to be champions in this tough sport. This is how we show our appreciation. .
Words can’t express the gratitude we received, again, not because of Floyd Jr but because of the team that he and Floyd Sr & Roger, Otis assembled.
The first class service to STI740 from day one to day 14!!. The energy is infectious as well as the generosity of everyone who opened their doors to STI740. TMT listened to sti740 as well as and made sure they supported sti740 as well as provided many more opportunities for sti740 just from those who were in the gm who also wanted to support. This was by far the best feeling in the world when someone invite s you into their home and treat you as you supposed to be treated,
It’s a reason why they are calling TMT which left us with a different meaning. “TEAM MUST TRUST”. I say this as humbled as I know how. We have reached out to ours own only to be supported by three individuals who saw the need as well as the potential. TMT and Oak Cliff Business Development.
