It takes four magnificent days and three outstanding venues to accommodate all of the fun, good times and massive stars. Get ready to roll in the aisles because this mega event of peace, love and awesomeness kicks off on Thursday, June 25th with all-star comic Kevin Hart at the Staples Center. The first late-night gig will feature Boston boys Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe, whose new New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe, will be rocking Club Nokia along with Doug E. Fresh, who you might know as the Human Beat Box.
Friday at the BETX
Save a sick day for Friday, so you can get out of work when the music heat ups. The reigning queen of hip-hop and the master of the anaconda Nicki Minaj will take over the Staples Center at 7 p.m. sharp on Friday. NE-YO, Tinashe and Rae Sremmurd will be there to ensure that your night is truly unforgettable. Later in the evening, Miguel will dazzle Club Nokia with his sinful blend of neosoul-funk. Watch for new tracks from his third album Wild Heart, which is dropping on the 30th—just two days after the fabulous BET Awards.
Saturday at the BETX
The BET Experience is a beautifully orchestrated extravaganza. Organizers achieved perfection when they scheduled Saturday’s superlative, unprecedented, unparalleled, unmatched, incomparable lineup. Brace yourself for the world’s greatest rap concert when the legends shake down the Staples Center. All of you new-school kids 
can’t wait to see Kendrick Lamar, especially after that phenomenal performance in Taylor Swift’s best video yet. There’s something for you old-school classic rap fans too. Chill down with Ice Cube, and light up with Snoop Dogg. Plus, Black Hippy stars Ab-Soul, School Boy Q and Jay Rock (no, not the guy from “Trailer Park Boys” HUH? WHAAAAAT?!”) will be showing off their solo work during this semi-reunion. Whew! But you can’t stop yet.
If you’re laidback and love scat, you’ll pay a huge fine for missing The Roots. First, you will find out once and for all how many people are actually in this legendary group. Plus, you’ll have an opportunity to see the one and only Erykah Badu and other super-secret special guests as they pay tribute to J Dilla.
