Teresa Giudice, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, who is serving a 15 months sentence at Danbury Connecticut federal correctional facility, for bankruptcy and fraud, was presented with her family on the cover page of a gossip magazine. The 39-count indictment filed against the couple in the months of July, 2013, included bank fraud, wire, mail and bankruptcy fraud. It was proved that the couple earned over $5 million from their fraudulent activities. After going through legal procedures for an elongated period, on March, 2014, Teresa and her husband pleaded guilty to the charges; and they both were sentenced on 2nd of October, 2014.

The celebrity couple has been sentenced to 15 (Teresa) and 41 (Giuseppe) months of imprisonment by a New Jersey judge. The jail term of Teresa will be followed by 2 years of probation period under supervision; and Joe Giudice has to pay $414,588 as compensation. Joe has also been ordered to be deported back to his home country, Italy, from where he had immigrated to USA, with his family when he was only a year old.
However, Judge Esther Salas agreed to stagger the jail time received by the couple, so that at least one parent is out there to look for the kids when the other is serving his/her term; and Joe is expected to go to complete his term after Teresa successfully completes her stretch.
