(ThyBlackMan.com) Lady Gaga is having quite the year in 2015 as she recently became engaged to Taylor Kinney, her boyfriend of three years. The singer has reportedly already asked her newest collaborative partner Tony Bennett to perform at the couple’s wedding reception. He has agreed to be a part of the wedding, set to take place sometime in 2016.
Aside from making headlines for personal reasons Lady Gaga also made quite the splash at this year’s Oscars with her medley tribute to “The Sound of Music” that she performed just before Julie Andrews appeared onstage. Lady Gaga’s performance garnered 
more Facebook and Twitter reactions than any other performance at this year’s Oscars. Prior to her performance Lady Gaga called Julie Andrews to discuss the performance and ensure that Andrews wouldn’t be insulted by it.
On a personal note, Lady Gaga also took the time recently to participate in the Polar Bear Plunge in Lake Michigan. This yearly event raises money for the Special Olympics and Lady Gaga, along with Taylor Kinney, helped accumulate over $1 million for the cause. Afterwards she posted photos on her Instagram account of her and Kinney horsing around at the event. The Instagram pictures she posted did even more to get the word out about the Polar Bear Plunge.
No doubt Lady Gaga’s professional and personal life will remain on fire throughout the rest of 2015 and into 2016. Time will tell if her popularity continues to grow or dies down.
