(ThyBlackMan.com) Rapper Lil Wayne makes headlines for both negative and positive reasons. Recently he made headlines by co-hosting a CIAA party with T.I. The party was held at the Label nightclub The CIAA’s basketball tournament was the occasion which the party was thrown for.
However, he has also recently made headlines for suing his record company for $1 million. He recently did an interview with Rolling Stones magazine where he attempted to avoid addressing the subject of some tweets originating from his account. In the tweets he accused his record company of holding him prisoner. Instead, Lil 
Wayne tried to claim that the tweets in question were sexual and had nothing to do with his record label. He seemed more interested in talking about an as yet unreleased album of his music that he recently completed after many delays as well as his upcoming album, called “The Feee Weezy Album.”
Though fellow rapper Birdman was Lil Wayne’s mentor for years he has reportedly stopped speaking to him. The two were reportedly as close as a father and son until their falling out. This reportedly occurred as a result of the delay in the release of his album, “Tha Carter V.”
One of Lil Wayne’s pride and joys is his 16 year old daughter Reginae, who was featured on an episode of “My Super Sweet 16.”He has said in interviews that when he views his daughter’s Instagram account he often doesn’t understand the captions she and her friends post on her photos. Many are shocked that the 32 year old isn’t in touch with his daughter’s posts on Instagram.
At the ripe old age of 32 Lil Wayne has considered retirement, but then stated publically that he lives music and would find it hard to retire. Until then it will be interesting to see what he does with the rest of his career.
