(ThyBlackMan.com) This morning as I skimmed through the various articles and blogs about last night’s airing of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3, Part 2 of the Reunion Show”, the commonality among all that I read,  was that, finally! “The drama is here!” “Here comes the turn up!” “The fight was revealed”. “We are now privy to the melee”. However,  I think many of us have failed to see the bigger picture.

While everyone that participates in this show is grown, does so on their own accord and should be held accountable for the tainted image of Black Women and Black Men they put out to the world, one key person often goes unnoticed. The Ring Master, or more befittingly, the Pimp, aka the producer, Mona Scott-Young.

I am amazed by all the backlash I get for holding women accountable for our actions and the consequences that follow, but Mona Scott-Young seems to get a pass. I am accused of exploiting  Black Women when I showcase examples of our behavior as a means to get us to do better, but my life is threatened. Mona Scott-Young exploits Black Women and what do you do? You gather around the television to join in the exploitation of Black Women, and by doing so you ENHANCE her life, by enhancing her pockets.

Mona Scott-Young is a cold pimp and she has a nice stash of whores that work for her, she pays them well and she gets paid even more to pimplhh-atl-joseline-ripped-mag them. Instead of posting and writing about how good the fight was, and that we finally got to see something “juicy”, Black Women in America AND abroad should be embarrassed right now.

Mona Scott-Young has to shoulder a lot of the responsibility for what took place during the reunion, and really for the entire show.  She sets the stage, she is the puppet master, the mad scientist and Joseline Hernandez has become her Frankenstein. Joseline has been very open about her troubled past, and how she initially started stripping to help her family at 15 years of age and there is also a history of drug use in her family, now, fast forward to present day.

She’s left the bright lights of the strip club and has transitioned to the bright lights of the camera, but was there any help offered to heal her past issues? She just went from one pimp to another, her cut is just a little larger this time around. I am not excusing Joseline for any of her decisions, but women know how to manipulate other women. Women know how to woo and sweet talk women, and not in sexual manner. Women have a special way of relating to one another, we know how to soothe and console and pretend to be in your corner. Oh you thought that game was just for men? Please! Women know how to run a smooth game on women, and can easily  turn another woman out.  So many of women are looking at the male pimp, you let the female pimp slither on by you.

Mona Scott-Young manipulates the inner demons that lie within these women. She is a true misogynist. There is no way she can sincerely love Black Women and exploit them for profit the way that she does. When Joseline had an abortion, did she offer her any counseling? When Mimi dropped her sex tape, did she offer Mimi any counseling? Was she concerned about how this would impact Mimi’s daughter, or was her only concern about how this would impact her RATINGS?

Has she had a life coach come on the show and try to change the footsteps of the women towards a more positive direction? Has she done ANYTHING to enlighten Black Women about their self-worth, self-esteem or self love? No, she has created an international stage to allow Black Women to portray ourselves as savage, promiscuous, eye rolling, finger pointing, neck rolling, unable to articulate a sentence without a curse word, competitive, catty, desperate, jump offs, baby mama’s and wives. Any attempt to the better the women she exploits would put a dent in her pockets, and she’s not having that.

I keep telling you all, the Black Woman is EVERYONE’S PAYDAY/ CASH COW. You want to get rich quickly? Come up with a show that will degrade Black Women, in every way imaginable, and not only will the project get the green light, you will have several Black Women COMPETING to be the Baddest Bitch, the Filthiest Whore,  The Bitter Baby Mama, and countless other roles that portray Black Women in a negative light.

Black Women I know you want to blame a man for this right?  Specifically a BLACK MAN right? I mean the Black Man is our “go to guy” when we want to deflect. You want to blame the men on the show don’t you? Maybe Stevie or Nikko, you might even say there is a “man” behind Mona, and while I will admit that there are bigger forces behind her, whose FACE do you see? Whose name do you see that will be the most recognized when the credits roll? Whose  pimp hand is strong? She has branched out from NY to Atlanta, to Hollywood. She really has “hoes in different area codes”. And all of them want to be her Bottom Bitch.

I have to believe this is her motto, after all she IS a pimp..””Pimpin’ ain’t easy… so keep your Ho’s sleazy and you know they’ll keep your fingers greasy.”

I mean, I’d ask Mona Scott-Young to throw in her pimp card, but she has too many Black Women willing to work the stroll. The next time there is a conversation about misogyny in Hip Hop, the way women are portrayed in the media, and how we are viewed, take a look to see who’s REALLY behind the lenses.

Women never really want to have honest conversations, because that would force us to take most of the responsibility. We talk about the men ON the show, but we are quiet about the woman BEHIND it. Well, most of us are, I am NOT. I am not afraid to call a spade a spade…and a pimp a pimp. The sad reality is, Black Women make pimping look EASY and FUN.
