This little tot started making headlines even before she was born, as the entire world was shocked to hear the news of Beyoncé’s pregnancy, which she announced during a performance in MTV Video Movie Awards in 2011.
Beyoncé’s Career and Early Life
As you know, Blue Ivy Carter was born to Beyoncé who is a famous singer and actress. Beyoncé was born on fourth of September 1981 in Houston Texas. At an early age, she loved to sing and even took part in
many talent shows, bringing in a lot of glory and awards to the family.
Beyoncé began her schooling at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Texas. There she enrolled in dance classes and her singing talent was discovered by her dance instructor. In 1990, she enrolled herself into Parker Elementary School where she was part of her school’s choir. She specialized with Performing and Visual Arts in her high school. Thereafter she continued her high school at Alief Elsik.
Teaming up with her cousin, Kelly Rowland and two other classmates, the mother of Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé formed her own group with her father Matthew Knowles as the group’s manager. They named their group ‘Destiny’s Child’ and landed up with a record deal in 1987 with Columbia Records. She made her first solo release “Dangerously in Love” in 2003.

Destiny’s Child broke apart in 2005 and Beyoncé soon released her second solo album B’day in 2006. It was in this year that she met Jay – Z, whom she married at a private ceremony and had a baby girl Blue Ivy Carter.
The newlyweds continued to work and Beyoncé even sang the song “At Last” for The President of the United States, Barrack Obama and Michelle Obama, the First Lady at his inaugural ball. In addition to acting and singing, she also runs a clothing line called as the House of Dereon along with her mother. She launched her own fragrance known as Heat in 2010.

Blue Ivy Carter was born naturally at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. The middle name “Ivy” was inspired in reference to the love of the number 4 by both her parents. The couple married on April 4 and Beyoncé’s latest album is also called 4. Surprisingly the couple too has matching tattoos of IV, the Roman numeral on their wedding fingers.
Blue Ivy Carter has already made US Billboard chart history by becoming the youngest artist to be placed in the charts. However, her father Jay – Z already has a trilogy of albums with the word “Blue” in the title. In a track called Glory’s, the cries of Blue Ivy Carter were recorded and featured in this song just days after she was born.
This song became a huge hit on that week’s Billboard Top Song Chart and also marked Jay – Z’s 107th entry on that chart, which coincidently is the date his daughter was born (1 /07).
