(ThyBlackMan.com) Liam James Payne is one of the members of the leading boy band group today, One Direction. He is popularly known as Liam Payne, born on August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England, and UK. His parents are Geoff and Karen Payne and he has two older sisters. Liam is actually the youngest in the family, next to his older sisters Nicola and Ruth.
He was suffering from medical illnesses when he was a child because he was born three weeks earlier. In fact, he was in and out of the hospital during his first four years old life. Various tests were done and it showed
that his one kidney was dysfunctional and scarred and as a medical intervention he received a total of 32 injections in his arm in the morning and at nighttime. In 2012, his medical condition has significantly improved and was found out that both his kidney are functioning again.
Musical discovery and career growth
Liam Payne started to demonstrate his gift in singing as early as 6 years old. His relatives would ask him to sing on karaoke. Before he decided to pursue his gift in singing, he first focused on being a runner. In fact, he would wake up around 5 AM everyday and run five miles before going to school. He was a member of the Wolverhampton and Bliston Athletics Club. He then finally decided to give up his career in running when he was 14 years old. He then decided to focus on singing. When he was 12 years old, he joined the Pink Productions, a performing arts group that further honed his musical gift. The Pink Productions allow Liam Payne to showcase his talent in front of the audience for the first time. He then moved on to Wolverhampton College’s Paget Road Campus and took up music technology.
Liam Payne was first shown on television in 2008b when he auditioned for The X Factor’s 5th series and he was only 14 years old at that time. However, during such time Simon Cowell thought that he was not that ready for the competition and advised him to come back next season. Liam Payne did come back two years after and his audition piece was “Cry Me a River”. He was ready at that time and he received standing ovation from the audience and judges as well including Simon Cowell. He was placed in a group along with other three boys and named them One Direction. They didn’t win the competition though and got only third, but they are extremely popular today. In fact, One Direction is the leading boy band group not only in the United States, but in the whole world.
Love life and Inspiration
Liam Payne first had an affair with Danielle Peazer and they first met in The X Factor in 2010. She was a dancer for the show and was a backup dancer of the One Direction group in several occasions. They broke up in 2012 because of their busy schedules, but they rekindle in early 2013, but they split again in the late spring of 2013. They remain friends though despite the breakup. Lately, it was rumored that Liam is dating Sophia Smith, his childhood crush.
