(ThyBlackMan.com) Eminem aka Slim Shady has had a highly decorated career with incredible music. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide, the Detroit Marshall Mathers native will go down as one of the greatest and most complex artists of all time.
For months there were rumors that Eminem had been working on a new album, but there was no real concrete proof to those accusations. Well not anymore, Dr. Dre has stated in an interview with radio station Power 106 that Eminem is finishing up his project.
Eminem’s fans are on pins and needles waiting for his next album to drop. Eminem’s admirers first got wind that he would be bringing out a new album
when the rapper’s merchandise store began marketing a snapback hat printed with the years of “landmark Eminem solo albums”, including 2013. Shady Records President Paul Rosenberg has dropped a little info about Eminem’s upcoming album. Paul Rosenberg revealed to Billboard “We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He’s been working on it for some time. It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when.
Now his fans are looking at a July release date. Many went to Twitter to share their excitement. @Dr45Evil: “#thingsihatemost waiting for Eminem’s new album… Feels like we’re living in a desert right now without water.. Hurry up Eminem…”
@DamonRandall_95: “People saying Eminem is history, his new album will just prove he’s on a higher level than guys like Macklemore, Mac Miller, etc…”
If listening to his album (when ever it comes out) is not enough and seeing him in person is what you need then you may want to try your best to make one his concerts. Eminem is set to kick off his tour this month. The concert schedule will consist of a very limited amount of shows so far in the United States starting in June. Then Eminem will hit Canada, UK and Europe in August.
With all of the excitement surrounding his new album I can only wonder who Eminem will collaborate with for this next project. Maybe it’s Big Sean. Eminem was spotted chilling in the studio with Big Sean back in April… and according to the G.O.O.D music rapper; fans can definitely “expect a Detroit classic” from the highly-anticipated collaboration.
But will the fresh rap track be featured on Sean’s sophomore album “Hall of Fame,” or Slim Shady’s new (unnamed) 2013 record? Fans will just have to wait and see… meanwhile, rumors surrounding Em’s eighth studio album continue swirling on Twitter, Facebook, and beyond.
