Womb for Rent; Only Affluent Ballers Need Apply.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Several months ago, I watched Espn’s 30 for 30 “Broke” documentary. It was about professional athletes spending their money recklessly, or having to pay child support to numerous women, and other reasons that lead to them becoming broke.

The most interesting segment that stood out to me was when a Sister stated that she was working for a radio station and they had an event at a club one night, and Michael Jordan was at the event. The DJ made announcement on the radio, that he (MJ) walked in the building and within an hour or, almost 1000 females were in the vicinity trying to get Mr. Jordan’s attention.  Seeing the quick response from the announcement, triggered the idea for http://www.balleralert.com.  “For the women who want to live the ballerific life”.

There you can find out where all the “ballers” will be, you can create your own page, upload videos and pictures, but wait there’s more! You can purchase t-shirts that say the following:

“Future Baller Baby Mama” Now Sisters, what does this shirt reveal about those who believe this type of thinking? It shows that you think so little of yourself, that you don’t have the capability to BE a wife, nor do you have the desire. You’d rather hold the title “baby mama”, because the assumption is the Baby Mama of a “baller” will be able to eat off of the “ballers” income in the form of child support checks.  “I ain’t saying she a gold digger….but she ain’t messing with no broke…brokefuture-baller-baby-momma

“Ballerific”

Ballers Favorite Girlfriend”

“I Need to Be Saved” -“Ah is a, Ah is a, Should I save her? I want to be saved!!!” “Look up in the sky it’s a bird it’s a plane. What’s that n**** name? Captain save a hoe man!” Clearly this shirt is in reference to “Captain Save A Hoe”, so when you wear a shirt like that, what are you saying about YOURSELF Sister? You’re saying that yes you are a self-proclaimed hoe, and that you need to be “saved” meaning that you need a man to secure you financially so instead of turning various tricks, you will only be HIS trick. You will barter your womb in exchange for money and the trinkets he gives you.

Yeah…it’s Worth It” So although your womb has LIMITLESS value, you decide to put your OWN monetary value on it, with the guarantee that he will get his “money’s worth”.

Baby I’m A Groupie” –Meaning that you are down for sex with someone who is famous, almost famous, on his way to being famous or hell part of the crew. Groupies are normally WILLINGLY passed through the homies “cuz it ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none”.

Contract Chaser” A chaser is one whom is in  heavy “pursuit” so this type of female, pursues men with the highest earning contracts; basically she will lease her womb out to the baller that is able to pay her womb rent.

“Your Money; Not Mine

“Baller Alert Baller Alert”

“Black Cards Only”

Future Rich Bitch”-Now I don’t know how many times I’ve had to break the word “bitch” down, but again it’s NOTHING but a female dog. No matter how you attempt to redefine it, no matter what word you try to put in front of it, anytime you call yourself a bitch, you are calling yourself a female dog.

I chose down to break down the meaning of specific t-shirts in a raw fashion for a reason. We as women complain about the labels given to us by men, but what about the labels we give ourselves? We call not only  ourselves hoes and bitches, but will freely call the next woman those names with ease as well, yet we want to cry disrespect when a Man calls us out of our name. That is very hypocritical.

It saddens me to see that these shirts were even conceived in someone’s mind, let alone placed in production, but what saddens me even more are the number of women that see these shirts and think to themselves “ I’ve got to rock that”. When you wear these shirts you are a walking billboard for being easy accessible, which, in turn, makes it very easy for you to be easily disrespected, since you are indicating that you have no respect for yourself.  You don’t even necessarily have to wear the t-shirts with the logos, if that is where you are mentally, your thoughts will be showcased by your actions.

I have women tell me all the time, that what I say is wrong, but there are so many ways to prove my position. For the longest time, I have mentioned that (some) Sisters use their wombs for manipulative reasons or barter their wombs in exchange for money and I was attacked; however look at the purpose of this site and the line of t-shirts that it offers?

Basically, all the t-shirts are the equivalent to putting an ad regarding your womb on craigslist. When you subscribe to this school of thought, your womb starts to resemble  a hotel. You can’t continue to audition and host various occupants in your womb; you were not created for that purpose. You cheapen yourselves when you do that, Sisters. Neither your womb nor the children that your womb produces should be viewed as a down payment towards what you think will be a better life. Having all those “occupants” will leave you feeling VERY unfulfilled.

Sisters…..please get your wombs out of escrow.

    Papacool,

I totally agree. We’ve been corrupted by a totally corrupt system that leads us to believe that character and personal growth can be purchased. It can’t. The only why that we can become the kind of person that these so-called stars try to pretend to be is by investing in your character.

These people have it backwards. They think that self-esteem comes from getting other people to look up to them. But that’s a fallacy, because no matter how much you get others to look up to you, if you’re not about nothing, you’re going to know that inside. So high self-esteem is about making a big enough investment in your own character where you like yourself.

This is only a mini-micro view into a segment of our culture. The idea of having a child for the benefits is as old as the world itself. Think of it in this way, a man that represents success stands out simply because of how he carries himself as compared to the world around him. When noticed by the opposite sex, aka females, there is an unsaid attraction that takes place. Please refer to the Eddie Griffith “Education” track, where he states that the perp in all cases like this is the girls’ mama. Get you a man with a good job girl, get you a man that will take care of you girl. I have had the opportunity to see this method in action on a level that can not be imagined. It seems that there is a vicious cycle of get-overism by any means necessary, especially if you have a body to sacrifice, and the world is yours simply for the asking. This is not just an athlete thing, but is systematic within our culture. In this world where electronics has taken over, why are we surprised to see what we see? People have lost the ability to use common sense and have willingly accepted the hype of thinking that they can not count unless they have clout. For the most part, the athletes eventually spend all they make in an irresponsible manner, aka Vince Young, Allen Iverson, Sean Kemp, and Kenny Anderson to name a few without even being humbled enough to know how to recognize God’s blessing of them with talent. Instead of staying focused on the Prize, they get side-tracked into thinking that they are larger than life itself only to end being headline joke material instead of stepping up to the plate and being a role model and example to them that idolize them. I see why Charles Barkley made the role model statement he made and to a certain extent he was right. People have to take responsibility for their own actions and choices. Although there is no such thing as a perfect world, we are charged to do our best each and time we get the opportunity to do so. As far as the women go, self-esteem is a individual thing. If one is never taught about the value of themselves as a living entity, how can one be expected to be all they can be? We all have something to offer and can meet, greet, and teach those that we see in a meaningful way. I also blame the TV media as well as they put the images of us on the tube in a negative fashion with shows like Basketball Wives and the rap videos on the air to let us see how to live on a Balla level. The day I fall for the hype is the day I truly would like to be on my own deathbed leaving all of this bullshit behind. In closing, just remember we all will be accountable for our actions whether we like it or not. The greatest disservice will be our failure to not be truthful in all things. Peace out, Papacool.

    Nojma,

The worst part of this situation is the tragedy that lies beneath the surface – our brother and sister’s ignorance to the fact that money, and “things,” can’t make you happy for more than a day or so, and it’s not what makes life worthwhile. So their mindset guarantees them a fruitless life.

If we look back over the happiest moments in our lives, most of will find that those moments didn’t have anything to do with money. Most of us want money so we can impress others, and the reason that we want to impress others is because we think that if we can get others to look up to us we’ll feel better about ourselves.

Clear evidence of that is, if you woke up tomorrow and you were the only person on Earth, how interested do you think you would be in a new sports car, or a big house overlooking the ocean? you wouldn’t be interested in that at all. When you needed to get from point A to point B, you drive the first thing that started; and instead of wanting to live in a big house near the beach, you’d want to live right next to the closest grocery store.

So since we’ve established that we only want money to impress other so we can feel good about ourselves, why not just cut out the middle man and invest in our own growth so we can feel good about ourselves without feeling that we need to impress others?

absorbing that knowledge is the key to a happy, independent, life – and it will save you a lot of hustlin’, ass kissin’, and trouble. It will also make you a more confident and impressive person.

Yeah bru these lil section-8 wannabe thug niggas need to respect the OG’s like we had to. Fucking babies who don’t even know anything. We grew up during the 80′s era…these niggas have no idea what that era meant. These niggas born in the nineties grew up in candyland compared to that era. Better go and play chutes and ladders instead of fucking with me trying to posture on here for these derelicts ass hoes. I didn’t even wanna go in like that but I couldn’t let that shit slide.

How can one comment to ish like this? Ah well, that is the norm for many of these women nowadays, that;s why i just stay clear from these females. They are nothing but trouble, not only to a man, but to mans soul. As for the athletes going broke, well that is their own fault, no one else because many of them are just as immature as the women they lay up with and get used by for all their child support money. I have no sympathy for either.

  10. HereFromOnHigh says:

Why do so many black women want to be video ho’s, baby mama’s, or worse blacchyna.com these days? What ever happened to grace, inner beauty, honor, virtue, integrity, self-respect, class, humility, education, and goals? What ever happened to building legacies for future generations to come, bringing forth true innovations that make the world a better place, launching empires, creating wealth and building communities? I mean, is this it? Just reduce yourself to a video hoe and baby mama and try to make as much money off your sexual parts as you can before you’re all washed up and thrown away? My soul is grieved beyond measure. SMH.

  11. Mack says:

Love it! Great article that I’m sure will raise the ire of black feminists all across the diaspora. Keep ‘em coming!

  12. Realman says:

This is the sad truth since many BW willingly subscribe to the bastard baby ghetto culture. And these dumb illiterate ball players dig their own financial holes for thinking that they can sex any woman they want. I have no sympathy for idiots like TO, Ocho Cinco, Warren Sapp and all the rest.

  13. Ramses says:

Same thing I’ve been saying for awhile…this is what generational welfare does to your community…it destroys it and the easiest way to destroy it is through the womb
